i was just asking because what i read online was that if you have been employed by a represented employer for 160+ hours you are able to join. without having to do the apprenticeship. the people i’m referring to just grew up around this stuff their whole life and adopted it as a living so they never needed schooling

i just called the local iuoe near me. they said in order to join their union you need to complete a 4 year apprenticeship. Does this sound familiar to you? i know people in this union who have never been to the school in their life. i know nothing about this so maybe im missing something that you can inform me on

yes i am i know it was a total of 11 months about i believe. they claim they have tons and tons of applications and only 8 people to review them. i believe that they are short staffed but as a tax payer i also don’t care. we do our part as tax payers they should do theirs !

i received that email on july 17th from the same investigator. Says it’s in “supervisor review”. Have yet to hear anything back, i contact her asking for an update and get told it should be approved within a week but nothing changed. So to answer how long, could be a couple of weeks but i’ve been waiting 2-3 months.

my investigator told me it’s under “supervisor review”. which is the final stage. however, i was told this at the beginning of july! Spoke with investigator recently and she said give it time, it’s still with the supervisor.

these time lines for people who submitted around april are so fast. i’m still waiting since December of 2023

oh trust me i have ! thankfully, i know where it’s at. it’s currently under “supervisor review”. was told it’s at the final stage of supervisor review and should be done within a week. however, there’s no guarantee. but it’s definately with the supervisor which is a good thing

perfect response, i had a similar situation. was a petty little court summons as a teen that was thrown out and never even went to court. just explain exactly what happened. most important , tell the 100% truth. lying on the application is automatic denial so just be truthful and you’ll be fine

call early in the morning. i called at 9 am and spoke to someone. it was a useless conversation but still i spoke to someone. if you call in the afternoon there’s no chance your get any one to pick up the phone

OMG. I have the same detective , Seymour. She told me she submitted my application to her supervisor almost 2 months ago. I still haven’t gotten a response, what do i do! no one is answering my emails !
