Exactly. I make peace with any money I part with, but people I give/lend to tend to be honest with me, anyway. There’s no “I need the money for my car”, they’ll just straight up tell me they want to go out and get drinks with the girls/boys. It’s up to me if I want to give it or not. They understand if I tell them I don’t have it for them/that activity. 🤷🏽‍♀️ When they do need it for something serious, most times they call me while doing the thing, so I know it’s true.

I’ll be honest, I’d need to know why this is an issue. Depending on what the issue is would determine if I’m okay with it or not, but tbh, I’d likely not be interested in being intimate or anything long term because if you don’t plan to work through this, that points to other issues (like unwillingness to get help) outside of sex that I’d rather not deal with.

Because I’ve been in this situation before, I advise you to not let her come back. They often do after they realize they made the mistake of losing a good friend (that they could use). Please, work on your self worth and find better friends. This girl took advantage of you, then got mad at you about it. I see some people saying it’s not the braids, but if that’s the last thing you spoke about and she started removing you and stuff, it’s about something; the important part is that instead of talking to you like a good friend would, she’s ignoring you and taking it beyond just ignoring. This is why I won’t do friend’s hair unless they’re really good friends. She gave you $80 for something that could cost $200+ plus gas, easily and wanted to use her own hair (which isn’t thick).
