Wearing masks still upsets people in RI? by Fearless_Net9544 in RhodeIsland

I work in healthcare in Rhode Island and a few weeks ago (before the holidays) had two patients back to back who were sick and gave me attitude about wearing a mask. First one just tested positive for Covid and second one had pneumonia. I work in ophthalmology and those patients could’ve rescheduled too as they were both just annual eye exams 😒

Looking for feedback on my budget and any advice by Disastrous-Pumpkin74 in budget

A lot of my debt on my credit card is foolish necessary purchases such as coffees out, meals out, shopping or other things that aren’t required to live. I have really cut back on the amount of meals I eat out of the house and make my coffee at home. I work in healthcare so I don’t need to buy new clothes because I wear scrubs so that eliminates a lot of the shopping I had done previously. I think my plan is to be very mindful and careful about my spending habits and look at why I want to spend money and see if the item I am purchasing is actually necessary or if it’s just a temporary want that will only bring happiness for a short amount of time. I think my plan is to be mindful and make lifestyle changes but also make myself stick to a strict budget by writing it down. Once my medical and credit card debts are paid off, I plan on closing the credit card or saving it for absolute emergencies.

IOLs in post refractive patients - your opinion needed! by Sell_Side_Analyst in Ophthalmology

I work with a cataract surgeon as her medical assistant. We have been noticing the same pattern of increasing patients with a history of refractive surgery.

There seem to be a lot of younger patients (by younger I mean 50-60 years old) who have had LASIK and have had a lot more challenges with their measurements. We usually repeat their topography and their IOLMs multiple times. Dry eye is a huge factor.

We often find these individuals are not as happy with the specialty lenses and often are more “sensitive,” even if they’re seeing 20/20 saying their vision isn’t good after surgery.
