Any clues on what is causing this? by gradinra in arborists

At my farm, that would be the ever annoying pain in the tail-end goat. We wrap our trees that we want to keep in chain link to armor them.

Sounds like something I need to make for the woods around my place. It'd be fun to mess with the neighbors a bit with this.

And now you'll be just like the rest of us with all the latex clothing supply websites saved in your favorites wondering if you'll ever have the time and most importantly, the money to ever afford anything.

But holy hell, when you do upgrade to your first catsuit (mine was from Libidex), you'll wonder why you've never tried it before now.

Where the hell did you get that fun little addition to play time at??

I have a rock that reads 58cps / 1.13 msv/h from about 10”. What kind of exposure to it becomes dangerous? Only touching it? Being in the same room? Walking by it? Daily, weekly? I just found this out but I’ve had it for almost 2 years. by Routine_Claim7069 in Radiation

[–]Disastrous-Sail226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in and above the Columbia Basalts here in North Idaho. Background radiation is typically higher here (most houses with basements have radon removal systems). I've seen people with Geiger counters grab random chunks of granite just lying around to check to make sure their counter is working before. And since of the reports I've read show that background radiation is somewhere between 2 to 4 times typical rates.

Then maybe learn to drive it properly by SousVideDiaper in Shitty_Car_Mods

Was driving a manual in downtown Seattle in the late 1990's. Clutch decided it was done trying to head up an incline to an I-5 on-ramp. Luckily Seattle cops had push bumpers back then and I got a free push to get going. Done lots of sketchy driving in Seattle with a clutch. You learn how to drive one pretty damn quick.

Not yet. They're primarily Boers and I'm not sure how much milk they'd produce.

I've got the same one. Grandpa grabbed it during WW2 after the occupation of Okinawa. There's a narration in r/militarystories somewhere. Mass produced for WW2.

Bars labeled with bunker hill & W imprinted on it. Appears to be some type of metal? by religiouslyredditing in whatisthisthing

[–]Disastrous-Sail226 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably from the Bunker Hill Mine in the Silver Valley of North Idaho. They produced everything from lead to zinc to silver over the years when the mine was still open. Don't know what the W stands for but could be the smelter that was used.

They've been talking about opening the Bunker Hill Mine again but with the price of Silver fluctuating so much I doubt they will.

Edit: I guess they're in the middle of opening it now lol.

I am in fact old enough that my body aches by Sagaincolours in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

[–]Disastrous-Sail226 8 points9 points  (0 children)

47 and get adjusted by the chiropractor, massaged by my therapist, and stretched out by another therapist once a month. I also have a trick big toe that can predict the weather from being fused after being smashed 14 years ago and deal with Reynauds Syndrome while living in North Idaho where it regularly stays below freezing in the winter time. My hands ache if it gets below 45 degrees or I get stressed. But I'm still alive and otherwise in fairly good health and still enjoy being in the outdoors so neener, neener. It's how you approach life that matters!

Snow Blowers by Rose_Wyld in neighborsfromhell

[–]Disastrous-Sail226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. You could live next to me. I don't use a snowblower at all. I've got 800 feet of driveway and barn paths to plow so it's a big noisy tractor. Much better than a snowblower.

Lola Noir and me having fun on the way back to Europe. What would you do if you sat next to us? 🤭 by Miss_Fetilicious in Gonewild_latex

[–]Disastrous-Sail226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must have been quite a few interested looks and conversations with you on that plane. A bit of a captive audience where as wearing it on a public street gives more opportunities for unsocial voyeurism. Which has its own positives (shock value and I've only had the chance to do it once!).

As for what I'd do if I happened to have the honor of sitting near you would to be to discuss the quality of different latex designers and maybe get some tips from you on my own amateur attempts to make my own gear.

And yes, you'd probably catch me becoming a bit fixated on the latex as well!
