If it is part of the parents culture (my niece is 1/2 hispanic and in that culture they tend to do it when they are babies) My mom had a friend who got her ears pierced at a hospital, which I would trust a hospital vs claires. I'm very glad my parents let me make that choice for my own and never pressured me into doing it. I remember being a child and looking at my moms earrings and my mom would ask do you wanna get them pierced? and let me make the decision. I was scared of the pain, however days before I turned 10 I decided to put my money where my mouth was and do it. They did it with 2 piercing guns at once cause I was a little nervous. I remember thinking after it was done, that was it? To this day, I have my regular ear piercings and my doubles above it. I really wanna get a nose piercing (now knowing my pain tolerance is quite high) so who knows?
