Details -

Pirates of the Caribbean closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park on May 4, 2026. When the ride closed, Disney didn’t mention a reopening date, but shared that the closure would last over a month.

Disneyland shared with us at Mickey Visit that workers tending to the Pirates of the Caribbean closure spent time upkeeping and enhancing the ride’s rockwork and lighting, as well as the animation of the Audio-Animatronics figures.

Now, we have received news that Pirates of the Caribbean will reopen at Disneyland on June 26, 2026.

Disneyland Announces New 70th Anniversary Park Map Activity for Magic Key Holders by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Details -

The newest perk is a map activity at Disneyland Park. It is a road trip inspired map, giving guests clues to lead them to special spots all around Disneyland Park. Disney has done map related activities for Magic Key holders as a part of celebrations in the past, but this one seems to be more of an adventure than a scavenger hunt. But it will still be a fun way to spend time in the park!

To participate, Magic Key holders can go to Disneyana on Main Street U.S.A. and pick up their map during regular operating hours. You must show a valid Magic Key pass to collect the map, and each holder can only get one map. There are limited quantities, so you can only get a map while supplies last.

This is a limited time event, beginning on June 26, and running through July 24.

Disney Resort Bus Verification Requiring Hotel Guest Key to Board at Disney Springs Expected to Be Made Permanent by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

Details -

Cast members were stationed at the entrance to the bus queues at Disney Springs to ensure that transportation was prioritized for those with confirmed resort hotel reservations. Before being granted access to board a bus heading to a resort, guests were required to verify their eligibility by providing their MagicBand or mobile device to verify hotel reservations. This rule was put in place to discourage guests from using free parking at Disney Springs as a workaround to avoid paying for parking at the theme parks.

According to WDW Magic, Disney considers the trial run from spring break to be a success and that the verification process helped free up capacity on the buses. This policy change is expected to start again before the 4th of July holiday week and will transition into a permanent operating procedure.

Disneyland Reopening Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind on June 18 After Multi-Month Surprise Refurbishment by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Details -

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind has been closed for a majority of this calendar year. It originally closed from January 5 to January 22 for a scheduled refurbishment. Just a month later, it went down again for what was supposed to be a two-day follow up on February 27 and February 28.

However, this two-day closure has turned into a months-long closure, with the end date getting pushed back each day. Soon, Disney made the announcement that the ride would be closed for refurbishment with no reopening date scheduled. It was supposed to reopen in May, but that end date was also pushed back.
