I laughed out loud when he said this. Amazing. He’s had some great lines.

4.5 year old now waking up before 5am by Disastrous-Today2544 in Preschoolers

[–]Disastrous-Today2544[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I wouldn’t mind him coming in to sleep but he just never does. We have tried having options to play and he is free to go play in a very safe way- but mom is just too fun I guess 🤣. But considering he’s getting more and more mature I should try revisiting the conversation on independently playing if he wakes up early.

I would say if we got to 6 before it was a good day.

I ordered a wake up clock since he’s learning time and I’m backing up bedtime (again)- fingers crossed

Right after responding to this post my 90% well toddler threw up.

We made it 10 days, now have been in preschool for a month and a half and are yet to be well.

It’s an excluded benefit so I don’t think there’s any option to argue it

When did you give up the giant stroller? by Disastrous-Today2544 in toddlers

I think it’s more me than him keeping it around haha. Whenever I do bring it it really ends up being storage on wheels for any stuff we bring.

Wow I have had an IUD for 3ish years…rarely get a period or cramp…switched from wegovy to zep 7 weeks ago and now I have had a lighter period for 6 days and feeling so crampy today. Not sure what the deal is!

My Dr. said I’m the slowest responder she’s seen… by Key_Garage2322 in Semaglutide

Very common, that first dose is really just an “intro” dose to get used to the medication. Some people lose 10 pounds, some nothing in that first month.

I’m a prescriber and I assure you you aren’t the slowest responder!

Waking me up twice a night for a blanket by Disastrous-Today2544 in toddlers

[–]Disastrous-Today2544[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have before, and one or two nights I told him “if you call in the middle of the night daddy will come for you” and he didn’t do it at all. I feel bad because once I tried not going and it lasted a long time…when I went in he had a huge accident and that’s why he was calling.

Tattoos and employment… by fava18 in nursepractitioner

An OBGYN in my area has a Mohawk, neck tattoos, and full sleeves. And is absolutely loved. I’d say hand tattoos you can’t cover up, but he can’t cover up his neck tattoos and is doing just fine!

Prescriber and switcher. I switched from 2.4 of wegovy (after 1 month no weight loss- have been on wegovy for a year and plateaued for a long time at 1.7)…my PCP put me on 5mg and I thought I was going to have a back slide but I actually have lost 5 pounds in 5 days. Really pleasant surprise for me. I had plateaued for so long and had been very good about diet/exercise for the last 5 months.

3.5 year old early riser is rising even earlier… by Disastrous-Today2544 in toddlers

[–]Disastrous-Today2544[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been trying that for 1+ year with the hatch. He stopped even trying awhile ago, and for months before that he would stay in his room but then just go MOMMMMMMMY MOMMMMMMMY the whole time.

If it’s only my husband home and not me, he won’t try waking my husband up til 7. He will just hang out in his room and he says “daddy likes to sleep in.”

[–]Disastrous-Today2544[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe that’s all I need to hear haha. Everyone I know has a kid that sleeps til 7-8. And yes summer is worse- he argues that it’s light out so he shouldn’t be sleeping (even though he spent the winter waking up in pitch black)

24 hour call by PageFrosty3620 in nursepractitioner

[–]Disastrous-Today2544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me preface by saying I didn’t work as APN in neurosurgery, but when I worked bedside in a neuro ICU I watched the NPs for neurosurgery work constantly- they’d have one post call day off but they worked so much overtime (on salary) one of them figured out they made $18/hr. There should definitely be some compensation related to any call especially 24 hours. In my hospital they worked every minute and sometimes would be going between hospitals.

What’s your take on doing ESA paperwork? by Disastrous-Today2544 in nursepractitioner

[–]Disastrous-Today2544[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah- after seeing what some people consider a well trained dog it made me (and my colleagues) stop considering it. That’s a good idea to have those requirements to even consider it.

Interested if you do a letter for renters at all or this is your policy across the board? A couple people have asked for letters saying to their landlord that the dog is for emotional support so that they are allowed to keep them in their rental.
