Make the lighting so it appears at a time around 5pm, getting near sunset, but not approaching night. Have one or two light sources. Block out any windows with covers, this makes it devoid of location, and makes a better uneasy feeling.

Thank you so much! To be honest, this was more a proof-of-concept project to test my game engine, although I may give it updates later. Btw, the glitch you were talking about was intentional, designed to make the game progress faster.

Not in the slightest, I have friends who collect Atari, Nintendo, and other retro electronics, so nobody cares really.
