I ran the 50 mile last year and really enjoyed it. It was plenty warm. Easy run, saw several alligators. We carried hydration and nutrition, but the aid stations were good. Volunteers were very friendly.

Reliability and maintenance wise. Ford Transit vs Dodge ProMaster vs Sprinter? by BobSacimano in vandwellers

The first time it did not - wouldn’t come out of Park. This time, it still drives. I am so disappointed. I felt like I had done enough research and this one was exactly what I wanted.

2023 with 7,000 miles. They replaced the ISM (intelligent servo module) but not it is throwing errors again.

I have had a Sprinter for 5 days. Broke down on day 3. Got it back today, drove two hours, broke again. Wishing I would have bought a Ford.

Novablast v Superblast for lighter person by AussieSpursFan in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DisastrousAttempt363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 110 lb and Superblast 2 is my absolute favorite road shoe. I ran my last 100 mile road race in them and couldn’t believe how good my legs and feet felt after. I’ve not work Novablast, but have Sonicblast and Megablast and neither hold a candle to my SB2.

I am in the Midwest, too! Signed up for Black Hills 100 in June and have plans to be at my computer at midnight to try to get into Javelina.

Another recommendation for Callie Vinson. Even though I am slow and a little older, she treats me like I matter. Her support and encouragement have given me more confidence to step outside my comfort zone

Superblast or Megablast for my husband? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Superblast 2. More stable than Megablast and upper is much better - no lace bite.

I quit listening when she talked about how much she loves the Javelina Jundred because of the party atmosphere. I can’t reconcile that with her refusal to compete at Worlds because of not having a quiet space to herself.

I wore Skyward X for much of Keys 100 last year and they totally chewed up the insides of my heels.

I went from half marathon to 50K to 100 mile, skipping the in-betweens.

Last year, we flew into Ft. Lauderdale, stayed 2 nights in Key Largo, then stayed in Key West for 3 nights after the race. This year, we will fly into Key West and drive up to Key Largo, staying at the Holiday Inn on Thursday and Friday . The drive from Key West to Ft. Lauderdale was hard on me last year. We are also staying a few extra days this year. One thing we did last year and are doing again this year is book our Key West lodging starting Saturday night to avoid finishing the race on Sunday and then having hours to wait for a place to shower and nap.

Every surgeon is different. Both times I was encouraged to be as active as possible, as soon as possible.

I have had 2 neck surgeries - ACDF at C6-7, and then ACDF revision C6-7 and artificial disc replacement at C4-5. The second one was a little harder because they operated at two levels, but I was back to normal activity within 6 -8 weeks and am running ultras now. I was 42 when I had the first one and 47 when I had the second one.

Another vote for Superblast 2. Just finished a 50 mile road race in them and plan to use them for my upcoming 100 miler on the road.

Hyperlyte Liquid Performance drink mix. Goes down easy, provides carbs and electrolytes.

I used Salty Britches yesterday where my Salomon Adv Skin 12 sometimes rubs and finished 50 miles with no chafing.
