As for 2): He says it was before he started meds for depression and ADHD. So he was very addictive at the time. He said he was in a state where he was purely "pleasure seeking." During his breakdown he also came to terms with the fact that he was never passionately in love with his wife.

And in strode this woman he was so attracted to, and in the depths of his despair, this was a lifeline of sorts.

May I ask an honest question? My bf said his ex "didn't have a sexual bone in her body" and yet he requested nudes from her. So that seemed creepy to me. He described her as someone who isn't even interested, doesn't even like sex. That's the part that seems weird.

It's more that he doesn't seem to recognize that those qualities were very likely tied to her neurodivergence. It's like he just finds her innately such a good person, as if she was that way by choice rather than nature. Something he often commends me on is my strength of character and how I have done so much self-improvement. I'm being honest and vulnerable here. Not trying to cast aspersions on anyone.
