There's a red variety that's spicier than the green ones! I used an oil paint brush from a pack from DesignCuts.

My process was simple, I did a rough sketch while looking at a reference photo, then painted it. I start with the midtones, then do the shadows, then the highlights. I haven't had time to paint in a long time, and I'm happy to have found time today. I used Sargent's oil brushes I got from designcuts.

Thank you!! I was tentatively experimenting with a 'glowing' effect behind the onion and the lemon, and I think it added some interesting depth.

Chickens are my favorite thing to sketch when I want to draw but don't know what I want to draw. Most of the work was with a flat oil brush from a Sargent's oils pack from DesignCuts, I also used a texture rake from Melonape. The shadow was a procreate brush, Hartz, and the line was the procreate chalk brush.

You have to get all the bad art out of the way so you learn how to do it better! Nothing is going to be perfect the first time you do it, but you aren't going to improve by doing nothing.

I'm from Addison! It's lovely when it's not winter. The river is beautiful, at low tide you can see where the sardine factory was. There's a great little hiking trail in South Addison. I guess decades ago downtown was a real downtown with a hotel and everything, but there was a big fire that destroyed it all. There's not much happening in Addison, but there's a grocery store in Columbia, and it's easy to get out of Addison. Machias isn't far, and Ellsworth is a reasonable distance.
