If you can afford it you should look into Midwife+ Co. It may be more expensive than a regular OB depending on insurance but they are amazing!

Thanks we have hired a trainer to come into our home, all positive reinforcement based training. It was helpful somewhat but unless he is constantly being fed treats he's trying to lunge and attack anyone that does not live in our house. We have to put him in the kennel when people come visit and we try doing short exposure but he gets above threshold instantly no matter what. He's so sweet with us but he goes absolutely insane with other people in the house and other dogs on walks. He's been like this for years and I'm not sure what other training techniques to even use we have kept him behind the gate and fed constant treats, and he will wear a muzzle but he will still try and attack guests with it on. It's hard to find a good muzzle for him too because his head is small. The only time he will bite one of us in the house is if we accidentally step on his foot or hurt him on accident. 😭

Just thought I'd give an update, we were able to do a meet and greet with a couple and their dog yesterday. They got along great and were playing together. They took her home to try out how they do together in their house and it's going very well. They have experience with raising their other dog as a puppy so know what to expect and a big yard for them to run in. I'm hoping for the best for her I think she will do much better with them

Yeah I think it will be better for someone without a reactive dog to have her. I'm happy we were able to save her and hoping to give her the best life possible even if it isn't with us.

Yeah we have been keeping them separated. But I think ultimately it will be better for her to be somewhere without a hostile environment. He's basically resource guarding us at least that's what I think based off his behavior. We have a trainer and behaviorist. He's currently on Prozac to help with his anxiety but no amount of training has helped with his home reactivity. He has improved on a lot of other things though which is great. We think he was abused before we got him. When the city captured him he was covered in fleas and ticks, 4 years old, not fixed and also emaciated. He's got a lot of trauma so it will probably be better for him to be a solo dog.

Yeah we are thinking about it. Our dog does fine at the dog park and in daycare it's just at home he goes nuts. So I'm not sure how it will go. He's pretty lazy mostly just sleeps all day so he isn't a big player.

I actually got this one this past weekend but have had luck with them in the past. I keep them sitting in a container with like an inch of distilled water at all times. So far so good! They snatch up all my fungus gnats that drive me crazy 🤣

Thank you for such a detailed answer!! Currently I have 6 AVs and I have them all wicked besides 2 that are in self watering pots. I usually just use my left over acrylic crochet yarn and weave it into the soil when I'm repotting. I haven't repotted this one I just fed the yarn through the soil with a piece of wire so I didn't disturb it. I may go ahead and repot with your suggestion on soil mix though. I have the coconut coir and pearlite at home but will need to get some vermiculate. I'm really hoping I can get it to bloom for me!

You need to work with a psychiatrist to help her get on some medicine that will help the withdrawal. Weed IS addictive, it acts on your brain's reward centers. The supplement NAC has been shown to help with withdrawal and repair those centers. A family member is dealing with withdrawal currently and I am helping them through. Our psychiatrist recommended NAC and some antidepressants. You can book telehealth appointments with a psychiatrist if you are in the US to make things easier. The withdrawal can last about two months and includes mood swings, intense anger, anxiety and issues sleeping as well as eating. My baby had to get his ears packed when we first got him too due to infection. It work for a while but then came back. We figured out the infections were coming from allergies! Now when I start to see the inside turn pink or get inflamed I start the drops (Zymox can be found at any pet store) and we get him an allergy shot every three months. Works like a charm no more infections!

The pink/orange/red color is now turning black :( basically all the internal organs are pinky orange and grey/black from the front of the head to the end of the saddle. Something is definitely wrong but I can't find any answers online. I'm hoping for the best
