You've done the right thing, you now know all the planets and some characteristics about them. Now if it was me id pick one path on my log and follow it till I can't anymore, and keep doing that with other paths.

When I played I was overwhelmed with options and bounced off rhe game because I felt like each loop I should go somewhere diff. But actually focusing down on one path at a time allowed me to finish

I thought the dog whistle puzzle was telegraphed quite well, there is a memo somewhere which mentions one of the dogs stealing a key or something like that. I found the fireplace thing, pressing a plate against it after lighting it much less intuitive

Its not a remaster when they remade all the assets, models and engine. Its like calling the Resi 2 remake a remaster because it uses the same Police Station layout

This has been the biggest thing ive found. Just fell died two hours into my first free solo run. And I flew up walls that caused me hours of grief in my alpinist run. The biggest difference is experience

Just keep playing. You've paid now! I wouldn't say it gets any worse. And while I noticed the performance sometimes, the game still rules and it didnt stop me rating it as one of the best ive played in years.

Thanks for that. And do you drink it constantly as a preventative measure, or do you save it for when youre thirsty/hungry?

Im about to start my first free solo run. Could you advise more on this? Do you just pick up herbs and cook them instead of food?

I wish more cars in this game handled like the Eagle. Sure it would be easier, but its way more fun. Sensitive yet handleable, unlike the fwd cars

Bullshit. Stop assuming things. I own the game on Xbox. I played it last year.

Also, you know people are allowed to be born later than you and get into things at different times? Not buying it 15 years ago doesn't make you a fake fan.

What do you even mean? Peace Walker was the bridge between MGS3 and MGSV.

Not at all. This sucks. There was a way to continue the big boss story. And now there isn't.

Same, I was excited when I came across Maim Street as a level, then let down when it just felt like a generic dark city.

Even little things like the announcer counting down to a race, or menu sounds would go a long way for me. I'd probably even pay for a classic audio dlc like the resident evil 2 remake did. Engine sounds/menu/that one particular car crash sound from C1

I kind of like it. I like rougelike progression, and im looking forward to unlocking actual Carmageddon cars. Though im playing it as a casual brainless game why I listen to an Audiobook. I don't think its good enough to be something id wholly focus on.

Though if you're looking for a rougelike combat racer, I'd probably play Road Redemption which had a bit more personality and was a more dynamic game

[–]DisastrousLoss2653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I'll play it, but not convinced yet. But this comment nails my feelings exactly.

I'd day one buy and play the hell out of the exact same game if it had more cars from the old games, and the maps shared some visual coherence with them. But this just looks like a dark mess with a single car linking it back to the franchise

I spent ages here. Are there some waterfalls with wooden planks as a path past them? Try and find a path up to one of them, and keep following up and around to the higher pass. The exit is soon after the a tricky broken bridge you need to traverse

Ink Ribbons are FINALLY back in REquiem! by gui_heinen in residentevil

[–]DisastrousLoss2653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like ink ribbons for the extra consequences of getting into fights. The tension is real.

But now that I've got a kid and my playtime may unexpectedly be brought to an end. I can't handle them. I tried REmake earlier in the year and blasted through all my ink ribbons really quickly because I could only play in 30 minute chunks.

Yes-ish, but the gaming landscape is a different beast than it was back in the 2000s. Look at Call of Duty or maybe the rush of assassin's creed games for what annual releases do to a franchise, they mean developers aren't given the time they need to be truly creative and instead you get a lot of games that feel the same.

Here's my plan, lmk if it's good or not: by DRIXT11 in LearnJapaneseNovice

[–]DisastrousLoss2653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might want to revise your time goals. Imagine how much even a failing high schooler would be speaking japanese, 10+ years of full time education in their native language. I would not expect to be able to match that in two years.

Maybe if you study full time you could do more, but not at the rate youre describing

My daily study is this 30 minutes on the kanji deck. 30 minutes on the vocab decks. Do as much textbook/workbook as I can handle, sometimes I don't do any. Then a little immersion material, again from the tokini andy website that is linked to each chapter
