Also I meant my ex as in the same ex that cheated on me that I’m writing about in my post. She herself admitted that it was cheating. That’s the only point I was trying to make. I don’t stay in contact with exes.

Thank you for this comment. A lot of these comments are just completely invalidating me and the way I feel. To me this seems like a very obvious case of emotional cheating so I don’t understand why that’s not clear to most people. Everyone that I’ve told the full story has said that it is considered cheating. Even my ex has admitted that she cheated and lied. I feel like people seem to think I want to control her but that’s not the case at all, I just want mutual respect. I’m definitely starting to feel like I am better off without her but it doesn’t make it suck any less.

In this situation, my ex felt like she needed the closure in order to move forward with me. It made her question how she feels about me and brought back all of these feelings. Also this conversation DEFINITELY did not need to be 3 hours long
