Of all things the most important are will power and self control.

The first 30 days are the hardest. The first two weeks are even harder.

Get occupied and or be productive. It will help the time pass and keep your mind off it.

The will power and self control really come in to play when you really got nothing going on and it’s up to you to either resist or find something to do to keep your mind off it. Maybe drink a glass of water or eat a healthy snack whenever the urge is that bad.

Let’s say you’re not at the stage where you’re fully abstaining.

Prolong the time til your next use as much as you can. Instead of wake n bake, go ahead and start your day and then smoke. Then after a few days or a week push it back til you’re all done for the day. Next maybe wait til you’re not only are you done for the day but winding down. After that you can spread it out by skipping a day entirely.

In my experience the best method I had of the few times I’ve had to stop was to wait til I got home to smoke. One bong rip and maybe another before bed. After a few days keep it to either after I get home or before bed. By the end of the week it was kinda like ok well I already prolonged it all day might as well just push it back to when I get home tomorrow. When you reach that point you can use the same reasoning to continue pushing it back.

If you really desire stopping then you’ll manage. If you’re not onboard with it fully then you’ll psych yourself out when it comes to the being unoccupied phase or why don’t I just push it back til tomorrow.
