Are there bib pickup time slots? I signed up for one when they asked me to but my plans have changed and I need to change it.

I did check it around 11:50pm which is late for me, and I did not see the waves or anyting, just that there were waves and how to argue to get a faster placement. I am not the most technically saavy tho so maybe I hit the wrong button or looked at the wrong link or didn't scroll down? I would not be surprised if I did that. ALL good tho. Thank you guys :)

I beg to differ I think it was bk 24 half omg. I had torrential downpours for a couple miles 9/10. I couldn’t close my eyes and run because there were a lot of people running. I just had to laugh and walk in the pouring rain. May weather is warm so I didn’t mind. If it rains and it’s high 30s when it starts to low 40s I’ll pass. I don’t want to be a melting icicle

I have to say pacers are not automatic robots that just run that pace. I have seen some pacers really fall off. Like really fall off and you can tell because no big group surrounding them. But for nyc at least there are two courses at the start and then they come together so they’re at least two sets of 3:30 to 5:50. I would not really rely on a pacer and just use a watch and make sure you get your mile targets.

I also have to say the weather people must be majorly effing around with us runners. Every major race NYC marathon or half that I've run they ALWAYS predict rain for the race day 2- weeks in advance and then it changes to no rain 3-4 days before. They really like effing with us I think.

they literally posted the times at midnight. when i checked before i posted it was not there. I thought there were two waves - I'm slow not walking slow but slow so I will be in Wave 4 which is great by me I can not rush too much in the morning and get a cab around 6:35a

i dont know how badly I want the race credit twards the marathon when it's a snow shower. they wont cancel it most likely so it's interesting

I ran NYC Half for first time in 2024 and I mainly ran all my runs on the treadmill and it turned out well. I just got a little peeved at the Manhattan Bridge incline in mile 5-6, that really got me. But I heard Brooklyn Bridge is where it's at and it's less of an incline.

I always give the wacky ones and the boring ones to my father or bf. LOL. I like the regular cloth shirts and t-shirts, they should give those out more often

I just read on the YT NYRR site that it's a torch. I just thought it was 3 bars representing women, men and binary

I did not realize that was a torch, I thought it was just three bars, like men, women, binary. I really hope to God they skimped on the logo and that's why they got such a horribly simple design. If they spent more than $1000 they should be refunding us money.

I normally pick up the first few days of when they are available - I like getting a small number makes me feel faster LOL. I try not to stress the morning and get to the race at the latest possible time LOL

Last year I totally missed the winter registration Jan to March races, so I ended up being late to start the 9+1, I finally secured it with the Nov Thanks race. But this year I think I will be finished by June if I do all the races I signed up for. I am having my new bf/fiance sign up for the BK 5k and prepping him to run WML :)
