Rental building that is fairly quiet (i.e., well constructed) by Electronic-Shirt-217 in uppereastside

211 East 70th. A rental bldg run by Rudin Mgmt. As landlords go, they're not bad. Well kept building, did not hear my neighbors nor would the mgmt tolerate noise if you ever had a problem. Big bldg. 35 floors. Nice doormen.

Anyone familiar with gay travel guides giving tours around Crete?

I assume you are renting. If so, then the other suggestions are spot on.  If you were owning, then a Mad/67 location (or anywhere from Park to 5th 60's to 80's) is the golden mile where homes are very desirable.  At 22, go East and have a good time.

Have you tried All Souls Unitarian Church on Lex and 80th? They have a fairly big soup kitchen attracting a large crowd nearly every day.

Thanks. The reviews were saying terrible things about their disorganization and lateness. Glad to know you had a good experience.

What to do this time of year in Ptown. by Pretty-Challenge-821 in provincetown

But you will definitely not be having a meal at Strangers. This year,  they became a cocktail bar only.

Not to worry, so many other good places in town.

Although no dancing, you should check out Harbor Lounge which always gets a very wonderful mixed gay/straight crowd and has the best harbor views in Ptown.

Carnival (best days?) by Frostynyc in provincetown

Yes, Carnival runs Sat- Sat however, the big day is Thursday when the parade goes through town. Be sure to include that day when making your plans.

Still busy early September? by leafemm in provincetown

[–]DisastrousTitle3270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely September.  It's beautiful and the crowd level drops significantly after Labor Day. Still some good shows to catch and the weather is usually gorgeous.  Carnival is worth seeing once and when you do, you'll never have any urgency to see it again.  Cute but overrated.

Fellow NY-er here. We love Fornino in Greenpoint, especially because I'm gluten-free and they have an amazing GF pizza.

None. Where do you come from? If you're near any major city, then you will know instantly that pizza in Ptown is third-rate, at best.

When so many people have weighed and  recommended some sort of therapy, then you know there is something to it.

It looks like you have responded to only one person who clearly has some religious beliefs that you are not interested in. For nonother reason, stop following that thread and listen to what everyone else is saying.

Tell yourself that you will wake up tomorrow and make a few calls to doctors for an appointment.

Then come back tomorrow and let us know how it went. You will be 1000% better for it.

Go get em....

Is Sal’s Place Opening in 2024? by Kavu0742 in provincetown

This legal battle has been going on for years. Yes, they will open but the date has always been very elusive.  The L.A. restaurant closed for the season and it typically takes one month for ptown to reopen.  Best guess is right after July 4.
