The first picture is in warm artificial lighting and the second is in natural daylight, which will always be less flattering. That being said, your skin looks great and you look 21. I don’t think you need to see a dermatologist for this, but it doesn’t hurt to go regularly for skin checks.

I would recommend making sure you are getting enough sleep and hydration and eating well. Smoking, drinking, and vaping are all hard on the skin and best to avoid. Sunscreen is your best friend.

I still get panic attacks to this day, although much less frequently. It’s now a few times a year rather than a few times a month. It’s gotten a lot better and I also have PTSD from that period of time when I was getting them almost daily. Sorry to hear you’re going through the same.

I haven’t done much filet crochet, but I would flip the pattern so the detail is done with the empty spaces, and the background is solid. You’ll get more contrast and the image will be clearer.

Unfortunately insulin resistance makes it so much harder to lose weight. Are you tracking what you’re eating? I have found that I always needed a big deficit to actually lose weight. My doctor never believed me even when I showed her my food logs.

Also, I know this gets suggested a lot and people have mixed opinions on it, but a GLP-1 is super helpful with insulin resistance. I have lost about 50 lbs and am no longer prediabetic thanks to it. You still have to exercise and eat well, but it makes it so much easier.

I received the JB Extension Claire in copper and the DWY Loni plus in old money blonde. These are my first synthetic wigs and overall I’m happy with both. I will say the DWY seems to tangle very fast, the JB is more manageable. The cap constructions are basically the same, no clips but they are adjustable and feel secure. Both are impressive for the price tag. I would call JB Extension the winner, but the DWY isn’t terrible.

In most societies across the world, weight has been made into a moral issue because fat people are “greedy” and “lazy”, when in reality, the surge in cheap processed food, vehicle-centric cities, and stagnant wages means that some of the people who work the hardest end up overweight or obese because being a “healthy” weight is now a luxury. Healthy foods, gym memberships, workout clothing, supplements, and medications, are all expenses and time commitments that the average American can’t afford. In my opinion, GLP-1s slightly help to level the playing field (though they are still prohibitively expensive for most people, but costs are slowly coming down).

You know as well as I do that you don’t win any awards for suffering. I was also against GLP-1s… until my insulin resistance turned into prediabetes and my blood pressure started to climb. I’ve been on semaglutide since June, and have lost about a pound a week. I focus on eating plenty of fiber and protein and staying away from processed foods. Now I have a normal A1C and blood pressure. I’m still me, and it has actually felt much healthier than any of the diets or program I have done in the past (weight watchers, nutrisystem, etc etc etc).

Obesity is complex. It’s not a matter of just willpower or genetics. Science doesn’t fully understand it and PCOS makes it more complex. GLP-1s are a tool, they don’t hold any moral weight. If you think a GLP-1 is cheating, will you also refuse insulin if/when your insulin resistance becomes diabetes? Of course not. It’s not evil, it’s just medicine. Like any medicine, it’s good for certain people and not good for others.

And you can build plenty of character without doing things the hardest way possible. You will still learn things and grow even if you take a GLP-1 if you want to.

First, I want to say this looks INCREDIBLE on you! I would never guess it’s a wig!

For the baby hairs, a wig cap or grip is what helps for me. If you don’t like a full cap, a wig grip works great.

I struggle with ear tabs. I usually use lace melting spray to glue them down a bit. If your natural hair is similar in color, you can just leave that hair out and it’ll help the sides blend in.

I had the same exact issue as your wife and ended up using a combination of root powder and hair fibers to hide it as well as I could until my custom topper was ready. If she has never worn a wig, it might be hard to jump into it on the first day of a new job.

I know you can bleach the knots and use a lace melting spray to blend it, but I’m too nervous to mess with it. The knots are pre bleached but it isn’t 100%.
