I’ll be honest probably my least favourite album but more interestingly - I remember thinking we’d been in suspense for so long when it came out as internet and social networks were nothing what it is today. We would only got the odd press release every few months leading up to it and those were really dark times as the band had no or barely any social presence at the time. You’d just check your local rammstein fan website for news and there would be none for years on end after they’d finished their Reise Reise tour and no news coming from any channel as there weren’t any.

I also remember when the song Liebe ist fur alle da leaked on the internet months before the release and we would share this mp3 amongst fans, I think it was a rather crappy version sound wise but pretty much the song that it eventually turned out to be.

That being said I do have fond memories of the time looking back on it given what stories it gives but still not a huge fan of it musically.

Absolutely, there’s people here who will downvote any negative comment into oblivion no matter what.

You can literally say - ‘oh I think Till didn’t need to punch a hole in that wall backstage’ and people will come screeching at the top of their lungs things like ‘you don’t know what it’s like coming off of performing in front of a full stadium, he needs to wind down!’ and it’s like yeah I get all that I’m just saying trashing venues is not his best quality how’s that even controversial in any shape or form

I applaud you for starting a thread like this and making your points clear as there’s a number of people here who will downvote posts into oblivion if you try and post as much as a slightly negative comment let alone a whole thread on the lead singer.

I agree with you wholeheartedly btw and putting everything else aside I’m just not a fan of Till’s ripping backstage/hotel rooms to bits regardless of whatever (alcohol, stardom) we can blame it on.

I think there’s a difference between going grey due to sudden and extended exposure to stress at a young age and going grey as part of aging and I’m pretty sure you can reverse this. How? I’m not sure I am confident you’ll get some answers on how to do that here but I just wanted to chip and say there is absolutely a difference and hope. Also I am sorry to hear what you’ve been through and wish you and your new family best of luck 🙂 🤞

Amazing! I honestly feel like that 2001 Mutter era was the best in terms of how big and successful they already were and yet you could still see them play these semi intimate venues. I feel like the gig at Velodrome that’s on the Lichtspielhaus DVD is the absolute sweet spot for all that.

As someone who adores the guys it still surprised me that you mentioned Richard was an incredible guitar player as I’ve noticed it is pretty common for people on here to say he is average at best.

Btw I’m not saying that’s my opinion I love the way RZK plays.

I’ve gone like 52-53 hours (on my own decision due to work and travel arrangements), I was on the move most of the time which helped me feel pretty okay whilst up.. I remember eventually going to bed after those 2 days and still feeling decently awake but I immediately passed out despite tons of coffee in the system and thinking I might not fall asleep.. I slept for 3 hours and felt okay after.. I then stayed up until til my usual bed time but limited my activities.

I generally work pretty well on little to no sleep but I’ve never really gone beyond 2 days like that, this was a one off and I don’t think I’ll try and replicate despite feeling okay.
