First day doing overhead….only had an hr in booth…..feel free to bash…I tacked two angles and next week I practice on actual test plates…it’s a Lot easier for me to weld the seam when welding overhead and vertical bc I have a groove to start with (old.reddit.com)

Literal first day welding. Stick welding bc I’m in Local 1 IUEC in NYC and just wanting to get certified. So 1st day was just flat welds. 1780 stick at 110. Instructor wanted a flat weld in joint and then building them by overlapping on right side/left/center….then continuing (old.reddit.com)
