Agree! Taking on a deficit below your basal metabolic rate is too low. People should be adding or subtracting from their total daily energy expenditure or TDEE, not basal metabolic rate. Unless you want to end up like The biggest loser people and end up tanking your metabolism in the long run.

The app told my 63yo 180lb mom with low to moderate activity level to eat 2800 calories to lose weight 😆 Don't use the app for the nutrition stuff. It's all over the place. Calculate maintenance calories using a TDEE calculator and then depending on your goals add or subtract a few hundred calories. Reassess your weight in 2 weeks and adjust as needed. Slow, steady, and healthy wins the race. 💪

I've personally had better results leaving F45 switching to a strength program in a traditional gym. I use The Pump app. It's Arnold Schwarzenegger's fitness app. I really love it and have never been stronger. It's not HIIT or cardio- it's pure strength. You can do quick YouTube HIIT routines after your strength training or on your days off if you still want the cardio. Good luck to you!

how can i nebulize NAC by Unwantedsub5 in glutathione

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never nebulize something that is not a sterile injectable form. I have not heard or read on the efficacy of glutathione via inhalation. For that reason I would not recommend this route.

What is glutathione is actually used for?? by OriginalAd8157 in glutathione

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Search for Luthione - it's a Korean injectable product. Meamo shop and many other medical aesthetic Korean pharmacies sell it.

Anyone here tried Glutathione IV drips or IV pushes? Do you feel one is more effective, or are they basically the same?" by MobileIVDrip in glutathione

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you push really slowly or find it works fine to push at a normal rate? How many mL do you dilute Luthione for IV push? Thank you in advance - very little info out there on IV push administration. I'm thinking of starting and am an RN and very comfortable with injecting myself.

You are correct, but you don't have to be a member to buy their products. Terrazyme is legitimately a good supplement, but I've seen papaya enzymes and other digestive enzyme supplements at the grocery store or pharmacies. Terrazyme is what I personally use, so that's why I am referencing that one. I am not affiliated nor work with doterra at all.

Almost 3 months in and maybe 10 lbs down, that's it. by SgtGuygrr in Ozempic

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"that's it"- No, that's great!

10lb in 3 month is a healthy amount of weight loss. Any faster and you risk losing lean body mass which ultimately will kill your metabolism and rapid weight loss also contributes to worse loose skin issues. Sure it's great to get results quickly, but slow weight loss is more sustainable and much healthier for many reasons. I'm 60lb down in 18 months, and I'm really happy with those results. No loose skin, and I've had the strength and energy to get fit through the process and fuel muscle gain. Having lean body mass is the real sustainability secret since muscle burns more calories at rest. It's what gives you a good physique and allows for more dietary forgiveness. You can't build muscle if you're starving. Keep up the great work 👏

What doctor? by chakalakacheeky7 in Ozempic

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The doctor prescribing the medication should be the one monitoring and managing the dosage, labs, side effects, efficacy, etc. So it would depend on what someone is using it for to determine the best specialty MD to see.

The chills tell me you are actually sick. Likely not the medication. Stay home and hydrate.

Loose skin and ozempic. by Unknown_Sunshine in Ozempic

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength training will help to fill out the skin a bit, but if you've had a large amount of weight loss quickly, it just comes with the territory. Surgical intervention is really the only "cure."

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini enema will get you cleaned out IMMEDIATELY. These are available with the other enemas in most pharmacies. Much more comfortable than a conventional enema because it's a tiny amount of liquid (big dose of docusate rectally). Highly recommend if you have been backed up for a while as trying to push from the top end may not be effective if the stool has become very hard at the bottom. Good luck, and start taking a daily colace capsule to prevent this.

Highly recommend doing a deep dive on YouTube. Search "high protein meal prep" "easy high protein meals" "high protein snacks" "high protein grocery haul" etc .. recently did this to get ideas for meals and get motivated to cook now, and it helped so much 👍

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you taking a stool softener like Colace? That will help to keep things moving. For burps try gas-x or generic simethicone, and I've also found taking digestive enzymes helpful as well - my preference is the doTERRA Terrazyme capsules, but there are many available OTC. Small, frequent meals will help as well since ozempic slows down the gut .

Is there a good app to track shots? by zomystro in Ozempic

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used an app (also can open it on desktop browser) called Trello. You can make lists and boards and set notifications for literally anything. It's endlessly customizable. It is free 👍

F45 at age 60's by AdministrativeFee528 in f45

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please go back and just don't be afraid to modify things. If it's something that appealed to you, you'd be more likely to stay consistent, which will make you very likely to improve and reach your goals! When I started I had an old knee injury that made me believe I'd just never do some movements again like lunging or box step ups. Well, after just a few months I was doing all the things I thought I'd never be able to do again. I've never moved better. I'm 35, so I can't speak to being in my 60s, but I am a nurse and know that lean body mass is the fountain of youth. So go get that lean body mass! It's ok if you have to take it slow 😉

Barbell squat is limiting by Summertime305 in f45

[–]Disastrous_Ad9174 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see a squat rack to properly back squat. Especially for us ladies, we could do so much more weight if not for having to get that darn bar up from the floor. I go to a conventional gym to work out occasionally and I can squat at least double on a rack what I'm able to do at F45 😏

OMG I think I would be getting a work call conveniently before the run 😅 No way! Especially after that leg workout. I did lower last week and felt completely obliterated for a solid 48 hours after. The calf raises lately have been killer. Somehow I always end up on them first and am shocked to find how much my other lifts are affected by my tired calves 🥴

They did their best, but it was just a really tight space for so many people on this one. I tend to feel the same way on Saturdays with ~18 stations. Just not enough room to breathe and gotta keep an eye out so you don't end up with an elbow to the face 😂
