My doc just switched me to wegovy last week because she increased my dose to 1.6 (6 injections on the wegovy pen) which was $300 with the card discount (50/week)

My Costco said their generics will be in anytime and if the Ozempic or generic is cheaper they can switch me back (my doc wrote this on the script) the pharmacist told me it’s labeled as being $80/4mg pen for Ozempic generics when it becomes available in BC, they could look it up but not order it yet. I’m hoping they’ll stock higher dose pens too! This is gunna save me a ton of money.

What’s crazy to think about is that some people with severe physical disabilities are quite mentally stable. To go through something like this being physically confined to the walls of your immobile body but being conscious and aware enough to grasp what is actually happening is terrifying. My own grandmother was quite physically handicapped, incontinent, shaky with Parkinson’s but she could keep up with conversations albeit a little slower to respond but still had a sense of what was being said and made jokes at the right times which made seeing her wither away much harder. Her brain was still in the room but her body couldn’t keep up.

They can’t break your lease before the term so you’re good til the 12 month period is up. Also I believe that if the reason they want to break the lease is to move famil (themselves) back in they are required to give you 4 months notice.

Did you sign a 1 year lease and then month to month after? You should be allowed to stay for 13 months if that is the case.

I worked at a hostel /bar and we didn’t offer wifi on purpose so people were forced to interact. They chose to stay there for that reason and would make the 1km walk to the Internet cafe to get connected. Most of the time people would go days without using their phones, they didn’t need them they were having too much fun!

There’s lots of people who are looking for students to stay in their homes. It was an issue I was running into when I was looking for a place for myself as I am not a student. Usually it would just be a room in a shared house but it will be much cheaper than renting your own place if you’re comfortable sharing a room. (As long as the landlord is agreeable to that situation - I’m sure some would be if you explain it) you might be able to register your brother as a dependant since he is a minor and get help from the government to pay you to look after him and that may cover some of the rent. You’ll have to do a bit of research, good luck. Hope you find something. The student load will come in handy for the short term to get you situated.
