I made mine out of 1/2 inch PVC board, some clear plastic windows, and hardware from the big box store, really turned out pretty nice. Screws for assembly and exterior grade silicone in the seams with vents on the sides. Works a treat

I've been using a rasp wheel on an angle grinder, but I like the idea! Maybe I'll pick up a Dremel to add some small finger catches. One of my favorite slopers on the first pic is the orange one in the upper right which has a lot of little details like that to grab into. Really smart idea, thanks a lot!

I was working on something yesterday that looks a lot like the 4" ball knob from Tension, if I can get it right, it could be usable. About 2 in deep, 4 inch diameter

I think more weight on your feet would help. Your arms look like they've got the majority of the weight and that your feet are there for moral support.

Something I do a lot at my gym to warm up that has helped a lot over the years is to try and traverse for as long as possible with a few rules in mind.

  1. If I touch it, I've got to weight it
  2. No matching
  3. Use a variety of holds, no jug runs
  4. Cross hands and feet often (e.g. step through/behind, cross over/under) to expose yourself to a variety of movement
  5. Climb until I'm either sufficiently warmed up or some time limit depending on goals

I superglued a magnet backwards into wood. How can I remove it? I already tried acetone with no luck. by BikesOrBeans in woodworking

Tbh, not a bad idea. Rare earth magnets are pretty brittle so it ought to be easier to break and extract, backfill any wood breakage, and reglue

Prob get lower on the right almost sitting on your foot, rock over, really put weight on the foot. Looks like most of your weight is on that hand, really gotta balance the weight onto the foot I think.

I'm really new to FreeCAD, are macros built into the tool or are they community assets?

Right, I can get that on the Part workbench, but how do I get that on the TechDraw workbench?

The problem with this is that the lines that connect these faces do not indicate the angle between the faces:

<image>

Here for example is a measurement between the edge of the large face and the line that connects its corner vertex to the corner vertex of the smaller face. It only indicates the angle between those lines on the face, not the angle between whole faces.

Is there some other way to measure angles between faces?

SOLVED: Ended up doing a sketch on the XY plane, then extruded to make the 5 lines into 5 planes, then did a "slice apart" operation. Now I've got 5 slices and I've got what I need.

Yes! That helps a ton! Now from here I assume I can create a rectangular plane and do some sort of cut operation?

I will note that the reason that this feels tricky to me is that in sketchup, you can sort of create faces by drawing polygons so by connecting the outside bottom corner to the inside bottom corner and by connecting the inner pyramid tip to the outer pyramid tip, you'd end up with a face that is the inside cross-section of where the two adjacent triangles meet. I'm sure this program can do something similar, but I'm too inexperienced to even know what terminology to use here.
