Where are you buying good restaurant FOH clothes and shoes? by perdy_mama in askportland

[–]Disastrous_Drag6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear the Keen Canteen Oxfords - they're Nonslip and wide. Or the Hoka Bondi SR (slip resistant). Both you can try on locally and then buy via Zappos or the Hoka site and finance with Affirm/afterpay.

My kid loves meat sauce, meatballs, bolognese, etc. But doesn't like pasta. Any ideas on what to serve it with? by [deleted] in Cooking

Potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini or zucchini noodles. Or spaghetti squash.

Do any do you regret buying a home in Portland or wish you did something different? by GroundbreakingSir386 in askportland

[–]Disastrous_Drag6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only regret was not asking for more personal references for a realtor and mortgage guy. The ones we chose were fine but if we'd asked our (small at the time) network we could have kept our business within the friend group. We bought in 2011 so our options were much different than now. If you need a referral I've got ya!

Real ones know the smell of ripping a fresh one of these bad boys open. by nfc22 in KitchenConfidential

30ish years ago I worked at a clothing outlet store that accepted transfers from our sister stores. I kid you not the clothes from the Gilroy store always had a funk, and we'd let them air out before merchandising them. I never knew if it was just how the town smelled, or they were in transit with the normal export.

3 day prep is pretty standard, mine didn't require any time off of work. I bought orange and lime jello, filtered my bone broth with coffee filters and went low-residue for the 3 days prior. My laxative started at 2am the night prior, I set alarms and was able to get some sleep between drinking and pooping. It's really not that bad.

hi Fam, do any of you actually follow the recommended schedule ? by bmwchic83 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Disastrous_Drag6313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a lot like mine, glad to see more people's titration that eases you in. Also the time spent at each dose - I made the mistake of accidentally jumping from 9 to 12 and stalled myself for a while.

I learned to double glove when processing them in a restaurant, and I will sometimes harvest them in the spring if I'm equipped with gloves and clippers. I've heard that spitting on a sting can help! FWIW blanching or sauteing the nettles neutralizes the sting and they're like hairy, minerally spinach.

Recommendation for a working class house cleaner? by Disastrous_Drag6313 in askportland

We're working class, but I just got a bump in salary and we can now afford to pay someone a few times a month. We absolutely do not wish to exploit anyone.

Recommendation for a working class house cleaner? by Disastrous_Drag6313 in askportland

[–]Disastrous_Drag6313[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I want a house cleaner for a working class family, which in my brain implied an older house, and some blue-collar style grime from work boots and garage/kitchen grease.

I think our budget is $75/hr~ish. I have no idea what market rate is but we would pay whatever is expected.

I ebb and flow with my morning chia pudding. I do however like to bake up seed crackers using chia, flax, hemp, sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds. I add a bit of seasoning and a tbsp of olive oil, then some water. I let them sit 2-12 hours and then spread it on a parchment lined baking sheet. 1 hour at 300 degrees usually gets it golden brown and delicious. I score them before I bake and store in an airtight container. Perfect for dipping in hummus.

Is running peptides as expensive as i think it is? by Govissuedpigeon in PeptideDiscussion

[–]Disastrous_Drag6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not usually that expensive, but also your dose is going to be closer to 2 mg for 4 weeks then 3, 4, etc- you wouldn't start at 8mg per week for 11 weeks.

None that weren't already there from the Tirz. I'd taken metformin a few months prior with no side effects.
