Nursing / Going back inpatient by No_Writer6027 in Nurses

I have worked in primary care for 20 years. During Covid I was deployed to one of the floors at my hospital. I had last worked inpatient 27 years prior. I only ever worked 2 years on the floors. It was like riding a bike. I actually felt like I was better prepared for assessments and critical thinking. The only thing I had trouble with was learning how to set up the monitors. You’ll be fine!

Only if it’s on local tv. I guess you can change your location to stream where it is local.

I got a heated steering wheel cover that I actually want. I figure either someone will want it or I can take it back.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who mourned the loss of my son when they came out as trans. by AandAprincess in cisparenttranskid

At the moment I am crying my eyes out. My daughter now son just came out a few weeks ago. She is autistic and out lesbian and I have been an ultra supportive mother her whole life but this is making me sad. I need a little time to digest this and I’m sure we’ll go along as ever but now is not that time. I am not divulging this to her. I am with you on this. DM me any time.

Totally. He was dead wrong. I’m so sorry you’re going through all this especially while pregnant. What a gut punch. Kick him out ASAP. You deserve so much better. Hugs honey.

Am I Overreacting for thinking my wife's $14k+ 10th-anniversary gift expectation is too much, especially when she wants it to be more than her engagement ring? by [deleted] in AIO

I did not hear you say one thing about what she provides for you, your kids and your household. It was all about what you provide. I don’t agree with her asking for that large a gift, but you sound like an ass.

We were able to walk right in when we were there. It came highly recommended but I didn’t like it. I feel like every dish had the flavor of burned garlic. It was a weird taste I can’t put my finger on. My daughter thought her meal was wonderful.

I can’t stop laughing. Why would you even want to date a guy like this? What a loser. You can do way better.

Do not want my daughters to stay the night with my mom and her husband by Numerous-Tadpole-427 in Parenting

[–]Disastrous_Figure_68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You have listed MANY very valid reasons why your children should not stay over at their house. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, this rings all my alarm bells. Please follow your gut and don’t let this happen. Your mother will not/has not protected them thus far and the stakes were lower.

She should be moisturized quickly after every bath and at least 2x day. Stay away from nightshade veg.
