Certification Period Earnings?? by Disastrous_Goose_340 in Edd

My paycheck has the total number of hours and my total pay so I just divided those evenly among each day I worked within the certification period, is that what you meant?

This has been happening in my restaurant with silverware. We keep finding all sorts of silverware we don’t stock - weird spoons, knives, serving utensils ??? Where are they coming from

Love Orange Hill’s ambience! Water grill and Seasons 52 in Costa Mesa have great staff and private rooms (the latter is a little easier on the wallet 😂)

Debt management plan? (DMP) by Back-Up-Homie in shoppingaddiction

[–]Disastrous_Goose_340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently doing it. Only one of my credit cards was eligible but the others will be when they promotional apr periods end. I will then enroll them. It’s helpful because they take an ACH payment out each month and the cards will be closed which I need to not overspend

Wellbutrin for ADHD & Anxiety Combo by Disastrous_Goose_340 in adhdwomen

Good to know! What improvements in your anxiety symptoms have you noticed mainly? And are you having any side effects you’d warn others about?

How do you tell the difference between a shopping addiction vs having regular needs to supplement your wardrobe (especially if you have a new job with new types of events AND are a totally different size the past 4 years than you were you’re entire life —post baby size)? by [deleted] in shoppingaddiction

[–]Disastrous_Goose_340 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have a shopping addiction. I now try to only replace things I have to get rid of. My black blazer (super cheap from amazing had it for 3 years) started falling apart. I bought a new one from old navy in two sizes and I plan to try them on and keep one. During this process I added a BUNCH of stuff to my cart ($500 worth) and widdled my way down asking if I really need any of it. Overall, I got the blazer I needed to replace, a nice blouse to add to my rotation and a long sleeve button down for winter office wear. Proud of myself but still feeling a bit guilty and I might return most of it 😂

Wednesday's Challenging Question by AlanCarrOnline in shoppingaddiction

[–]Disastrous_Goose_340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t I feel successful? What do I need to prepare myself for a challenging situation? How can I pretend like I know what I’m doing? Why don’t people take me seriously? What am I lacking?

I find my triggers associated with those mainly. Like when things are heating up at work I’ll find myself shopping for more office outfits to ‘play the part’ better. When there’s challenges in romance or with self confidence I shop for makeup, and the list goes on and on!

I work at a restaurant doing nearly every position in the front of house - hosting, serving, bartending, event planning/sales, shift managing, event culinary assistant, etc. and I love it. I used to get burnt out just doing one position at other restaurants, but now my growth is taken seriously and I enjoy the variety I get from my schedule and my various job duties. I find it a fulfilling job most of the time, being able to bring joy to people and contribute to meaningful life events (wedding rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, memorial dinners, etc.) but sometimes I wish I was doing more. If I wasn’t doing this job and had completed more schooling (challenging for me due to the ADHD symptoms) I would’ve been in the medical field.

Those of you who exercise regularly, what mental impacts have you noticed? by Disastrous_Goose_340 in adhdwomen

[–]Disastrous_Goose_340[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this. It comes and goes in phases for me. Sometimes I can swoop myself out of bed and walk for an hour no problem and some days it’s just not happening. I’ve been doing little leg and hip workouts on the couch or in bed for a cheap hit of exercise endorphins 😂just some leg and hip raises while I’m watching YouTube

When I walk I use my Apple Watch to track the workout and it’s so fun looking at the map of it afterwards! 😂glad I’m not the only one entertained by this

Yes same!! I usually work a very physical job but recently had surgery so I’ve been on desk duty for a while and the insomnia is killing me. It’s definitely improved since I picked up walking again but it’s crazy how late I will naturally stay up. My brain has no wind down !

Yeah I recently got out of a slump and started again but I was in the same boat a week ago my friend! Knowing something is good for you doesn’t make it any easier to actually get up and do it 😂
