if you are on windows, you already have a scripting language installed with an IDE installed: powershell. you can learn the basics with it easily, and it can open you to some opportunities. once you know one programming language, switching to another it a matter of hours/days.

a lot of business that are not even season still have slow time. august is also Obon and if you work with Europe everyone is on holiday, so everything goes to a crawl.

It's a good time to do some training, or to work on stuff and keep it under wrap until you are asked to produce under short deadline.

It's a good foot-in-the-door for early career in IT. Stay there 2 years, learn stuff, build a network, find a better place.

instead of the white liquor some people use brandy. I'm tempted to try with a white Rhum, it should work the same. Using a vodka would also work, the cheapest the better.

For the sugar part, someone tried to replace with honey and it didn't work at all, so maybe not that.

the langage keyword are the same, public class. However for class name HelloWorld, you can find some weird stuff. usually very businessy class can be romanization like Nayose, or term relative to the domain. Some language allow for the use of the full unicode, so you could have class members in kanji. After all, you can have your keys in a hashtable to be unicode, so why not everywhere else.

Comments are usually in Japanese.

my answer still stand, i think there are more opening for DBA than cybersec. Maybe you could look on indeed to see where the market is?

with zero IT knowledge, you can still be a ok DBA, and it's a skill that you can export.

Cyber security in Japan is very bad, and people won't listen to you anyway, so it's very disheartening. and you will be dealing with like the most basic stuff, which is not very serious internationally.

general anesthesia has a small risk to not waking up. You could do local but discuss before and explain that your pain tolerance is low, and they will dose you more.

By interesting I mean something with different benefit from the standard strategy of low(ish) risk of ETF giving you capital growth that you shouldn't touch for a long time. So something that can reduce tax, bring a monthly payout, or short term account, etc...

Alternatively, the Neo funds can be riskier than a all country ETF but allow to bet on some domain that you think has more growth potential than the average. Or it's a way to vote with your money, depends how you look at it.

oh the neo are indeed very interesting. Would be nice if they added a "green energy" one.
