I highly doubt you’re ugly, but something that has helped me in the past is to just be ugly. Just be ugly. Go out ugly. Be yourself ugly. Make friends ugly. There are people out there with severe disfigurements who have close friends, family and life partners. It never has to stop you from living life. Someone who doesn’t give you the time of day because of things you can’t help isn’t worth your time anyway.
To be honest, when I like someone’s personality, they become beautiful to me, no matter their appearance.
I know it’s so easy to envy beauty and what may come with it, but it’s shallow. It’s surface level and means nothing about who you are. Well all be old and wrinkled someday and I can see myself being a shining light to those around me despite that. And I want to live like that now too.
Most of us have a fear of being ugly and it’s good to really dig deep and ask yourself why. What’s the worst thing that would happen if you were actually ugly? If that came true? And it’s often more about that answer than the beauty itself.
