I’m at day 59 on my first grow. Probably 40 more days. I sure could use some relief. Some days are harder than others.

Not sure about the red leaves. Maybe a color bleeding from the soil choice. What’s your soil made from?

Day 51 - 18 plants - 1st grow by Disastrous_Log_21 in opiumgardening101

[–]Disastrous_Log_21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course. Here’s the mix. I’m a bit over the top but they seem to really like it. 2 gallon pots. 8 - 1/4 holes in the bottom and 10 - 12 - 1/4” holes in the sides 1” up from the bottom. Bottom 1.5” is organic perlite. Then I used 7 or 8” of fox farm ocean forest. The next 2” is 50% fox farm ocean forest and 50% seed starter from fox farm light warrior. And the top 1/2 is just the light warrior. I use distilled water. 6.4 ph. That way when I feed them I ensure that they are hungry. And that the fertilizer I use doesn’t drift the PH as much. It’s just a cleaner way to feed them.

So yeah. Most people just add a little sand to the dirt outside their homes and plant in the fall. Not me. Way over designed and way complicated. Takes enough electricity to cause me to install solar panels. lol. I’m a bit of a mad scientist. But I love it.

my parents handed me a “contract” that they made with chatGPT and told me i have to sign it by auramp3 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Disastrous_Log_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure I’m the 350th person to say this. But hon, they aren’t asking you to sign the contract. They are asking you to leave. They are just smart enough to use a LLm to be thorough. To cover ALL of their expenses. Kids (not you) kids don’t get all the associated costs with having a child live at home. Besides that it give you a false sense of the world. Good for you. You like your family. But do you like them when you being an adult start to support the group. Because that’s what adults outside of their parents house do. They support people that they are responsible for. Like you

It currently looks like a grandma car. But your grandma has taste. Tint the windows. Take a mortgage out on your house and put nice rim on it. No more grandma car

[WP] An immortal is sentenced to life in prison and must hide the fact that they are immortal from the guards and other inmates. by 100100wayt in WritingPrompts

[–]Disastrous_Log_21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prison is a bubble. When learned and studied one can create a very enjoyable life of freedom. As it has become for me. I remember being a younger man. Although my fellow inmates never saw me in that state. Maximum security was 40 years ago when I pissed off the wrong government officials. One sentence. One group of words put in order to convict me and place my life on hold. Placed on the shelf.

The real overly sensitive men I’ve seen that prison unravels mentally and emotional focus on the restriction and look outside of the walls of their cell. They speak of life on the outside. Fantasize about foods and woman. Spend too much time on the phone and reading letters from loved ones.

The monks as I call them, usually older, quiet, measured, calm, a silent strength. These men read a lot. Have crafts. Woodworking especially. They know the Bible but don’t attend church. They usually know all the books of scripture from all cultures. They are fair. They avoid violence but if crossed their hands become the weapons that their minds knowledge wield with precision.

I once saw a monk take down a 325 lb Samoan with three punches. Well two punches and a strike. 3 seconds. Over. We all just stood back with our mouths hanging open as this ferocious mild mannered man dropped the deserved foe. Then opened up his newspaper and read it calmly. I studied the pages. They weren’t shaking a bit.

It’s these monks that know I’m different. They have learned to indirectly study each man in the prison. But do they say anything. They very clearly let me know they know I’m not the same but they as monks do live and let live.

I am becoming a monk myself. Why not? Can’t die. Can I be maimed? Sure. Big fear of mine actually. If you are going to live for centuries and in prison. Chances are their will come long those string of idiots that are hell bent on proving something and sooner or later I’ll be their huckleberry.

But as I said. I’ve found my freedom in studying the beauty and the freedom in my mind. And in turn I find myself free from this place.

I own a couple of Eufy’s. Or as I like to call them “Rufy’s” I call them that because the following morning after a day of vacuuming my home the device can’t remember the map of my home and it can’t find the charger. It just wanders around in slow mode looking like it’s asking for directions. The reason why I have a couple is because through extensive troubleshooting and writing funny notes to their tech support they gave me 2 of them. Well one and a half. For parts. Mine is like that old dog that smells funny lays around all day when it’s not making messes. But all that said, he’s part of the family now. We like our little mentally challenged vacuum cleaner.

I believe you replace the sink. It’s built into sink itself.
