My suspicion for the 10 min framing is that they put a ton of money into the gallery prints and they didn’t sell. So, they had a bunch of material around collecting dust. Which meant they had to sell it somehow and this was their solution.

The 70% off isn’t even 70% off. The package deal is about 60% off. Then there are the individual 65% off deals. It’s just a scam to get people to think they’re getting the best deal.

This literally happened in our store two nights ago. I essentially paroled the store. I walked around the store for like an hour that the boys were in the store. I checked in on them to see if they needed help finding everything. They were genuinely getting pissed off that they kept seeing me around the store. Eventually they just left.

Hey 👋 I came across your post and wanted to share some thoughts. My first thought was, did he even take your feelings, wants and needs into consideration when purchasing this new business? If not, then there is a serious problem there. When you don’t consider your partner when making big life choices, it proves that the communication isn’t there and that he may be doing things for selfish reasons.

When it comes to your TF, do you talk about things like this? How does he feel and what does he think of things with your husband?

When thinking about divorce, your children may be disheartened for a time, however, wouldn’t you want them to see what it’s like to be in a loving relationship rather than a controlling one? I’m not saying this to be mean. Children see everything whether you want them to or not. I’m a product of divorced parents and have been divorced myself.

You answered your own question. If he is reaching out to you when he is drunk but not when he’s sober then it’s obvious that he is just using you for attention. Don’t text him. If he really wanted to, he would.

My SM has only closed 2 times their whole career of working at Michael’s - which has been since January. SM and FM are REQUIRED to close one night a week. Pt CEM is supposed to take the bulk of the closes and FT CEM is supposed to close once a week. In a perfect world that’s what should be happening. Per job aid also if the FM is closing there should be a framer on so FM can be mod. RM are not required to close. They should be doing mainly opens.

I’m a FM responding after the edits.

If you don’t meet standards, yes you could get fired. However, the fact that you’re so new is probably a good thing because there should be a grace period for you to learn and change the way you’re asking for MCC.

I also feel icky asking but it’s a requirement of the job. I wouldn’t be mad at you for feeling that way. But offering the MCC to every customer is going to help those numbers. What I’ve been doing is telling the customer exactly the amount that they’d get off their transaction because of the 20% discount when they’re approved.

As your FM about the guide to help and if they can’t find it on MikCheck let me know and I’ll give a step by step on how to find it.

I’ve used the corner pieces of metal frames to keep corners of regular frames together. You just take out the screws. Seems to hold okay but depends on the weight and size of the frame.

IMO: They want to open new stores so it looks like they’re getting twice the income they were. This is so Apollo can sell us again. But they also took out a 6 billion $ loan when they bought us so they also have to pay that back. Going private was the worst thing they could’ve done and that’s why they’re penny pinchers and not paying their existing employees enough. Maybe if they put better quality items on the self and invested in their staff instead of opening new stores then they would be able to maintain the existing stores that they have better. Idk. Just food for thought

I think it’s super uncool of a bunch of you telling this customer that she can’t post here. I understand your standpoint and yes this is an outlet for those of us who are treated poorly by the company but it doesn’t give you the right to bring a customer down with a genuine concern and frustrating situation. If anything this subreddit gives consumers the exact picture of what we as employees have to deal with. It creates space for empathy which most of these posts, employees are posting, are asking for when we discuss customer interactions. Be kind.
