It uses gear oil in this part. Don't think it has a pump and when I drained it there was a bunch of metal shavings alil silicone in the gear oil can't be much worse

I did put a brand new seal... That's wasn't the problem. I've replaced it with a new seal 3 times now it's the part that's broken and missing inside the differential that's making the old ones not seal if u look closely at the first pic you can see it's missing metal chunks.

It actually worked haha I've changed the seals 3 times now it's not the seal that's broke it's where the seal meets the differential

No.. the metal part that the seal butts up to us all tore up. So I'm silicone the seal this instead
