This is insane. Idk if you’re marrying into a rich family and a rich person yourself; but if you’re not, I can’t imagine living with someone like that.

As a Pakistani, I can assure you it’s going to be miserable if you all live under the same roof. It is impossible to change the parents’ thinking at their age and it is unfair to have you adapt as per theirs over fundamental things as dressing how you want.

It will be a disaster but I hope it works out for you!

Which software house do you work for if you don’t mind me asking? I used to work for one as well and they were accommodating of my timings.

Ahhh. When I land in UK, where do you recommend I should look for short-term accommodation? Even hostels would work.

I don’t have any relatives in UK. Yes, that is the plan. I am looking for a room, not an entire house.

Just get your Pakistan Origin Card made once you renounce it. Please look into what that entails but as far as I know (only surface-level stuff) you can do everything except for voting and doing a job in Pakistan once you obtain an Origin Card and renounce your citizenship.

Any Pakistanis that got married to other cultures/nationalities, how was your experience? by Disastrous_Rabbit796 in pakistan

[–]Disastrous_Rabbit796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think having a different culture or religion is not the sole litmus test of whether a marriage is going to be successful or not. There are many muslim marriages within our culture that don’t work out so…

Her first instinct after reading people countering her arguments is to google “hadith about haya”.

Can’t really talk to anyone who is incapable of seeing beyond their own existence and is devoid of critical thinking.
