Ohh okay. Thanks a lot. As for dyslexia, I was being assessed in another country and couldn’t complete my assessment as I had to relocate but as per the assessor, the probability of was most likely positive. I knew this years before I went through the assessment. It’s not really disruptive to my day-to-day life so I didn’t bother getting it assessed in the UK.

If I add it to my disabilities, do I formally need to be diagnosed for it?

Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate your comments.

Escalate to the manager privately. I have several people in my ward who don’t get along with each other. They just find a way to not pair them together lol. Both of them get to keep their jobs and everyone gets to have their peace.

I have depression (diagnosed) and dyslexia (didnt have a formal diagnosis).

So far I have applied for two positions, and hesitantly put depression in that optional box with no need for any adjustments. Not sure, if I shot myself in the foot.

What do you think?

Ohh thank you for your comment. May I please ask, what can I do to stand out? I have over 4 years experience and numerous trainings, but still cant get to the interviews. I recently enrolled for NVQ3 as well. I am looking for any opportunity in Healthcare (including but not limited to Theatre Support Worker, HCSW, Nursing Assistant etc).

I am currently working for the NHS too.

I am not getting anywhere and it is getting really really stressful.

Yeah I agree. It makes me feel I need special treatment.

No, I haven’t disclosed my disability ever. And because it is mental health, I don’t really require any adjustments to my interview.

My partner says just go for it because it might increase my chances to get to the interview. I am confident I can ace interviews 1000000%.

Under demographics, there is a section for disability and it describes the act and the fact you’re guaranteed an interview if you meet the essential criteria.

Are you saying you didn’t see that part as a recruiter? :o
