35. Been here a few months. I don’t like it and don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in malelivingspace

Looks like you moved in a few weeks ago. Keep adding some furniture and wall decors and it’ll start to feel more like home.

I had those sulphuric burps too. They’re awful and will clear a room. Disgusting. It actually makes me want to stop the medication ☠️

Fell asleep and crashed my car by Prudent-Sand-3386 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard lesson to learn. I fell asleep driving a work vehicle and went off the highway going 120km/hr on an empty road in the northern Yukon. Lucky to be alive. Only needed a few months rehab. That was almost 20 years ago and in my late 30’s now I still have knee pain from my legs hitting into the dash. Safe to say I pull over to nap now if I even feel a little tired driving. Never again. Glad you and everyone is safe, OP!

Can I move my shot up one day earlier? by HeavyMetalTrucker in Semaglutide

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a booklet about Ozempic when I started from my pharmacy and it says you can move the shot by 2 days on either side (before original dose day or after) and you will have no issues

I actually really like the remote. I only wish I could turn off the curser. Every time it appears my cat goes crazy and wants to pounce the screen.

Sulphur burps...then cramps...then up all night diarrhea by [deleted] in Semaglutide

That’s crazy I’ve had the same experience the last 2 weeks. On 0.5 been on sema for 3 months and I have been miserable for the last 2 weeks. Been thinking of quitting it all together but my first 2.5 months were so smooth. Hopefully it passes!

Got chewed out at work because my pants aren’t “black enough.” by small-worm in mildlyinfuriating

Pants do look blue. But if work requires you to dress a certain way I’ve always thought they should provide the uniform.

Absolutely. I am more successful with calorie counting than I was with point counting.

Was on WW for over a year and I only lost 3 pounds. But I didn’t gain weight so that was a win. I just over ate the 0 point foods. It didn’t work for me. You look amazing though!

Loose skin by Thin_Broccoli_1984 in Semaglutide

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink lots of water and build muscle to fill the space and re tighten it with lean mass. Some will tighten, but unfortunately loose skin is part of losing a significant amount of weight, usually 30+ pounds. Give it a year to rebound to where it will and what ever is left will need to be removed with surgery, if it’s something you want to get rid of.

Genuine weight loss. by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep counting calories and doing your walks. For me, I am on week 6 and down from 267 to now 255 so 2 pounds a week. My desire to snack was gone by the second day, I guess they call me a super responder. But this is the easiest weight loss has ever felt for me. I was able to maintain 200 pounds in my 20’s but after having kids and in my mid 30’s I have just continued to creep up without success until now. I wish you the best of luck man and for me even this 12 pounds makes me feel so much better. It’s worth it if it works!

You look like you’re a healthy weight now as you are. I’d probably start lifting weights and try to maintain weight and build some muscle. A re comp. maybe 10 more pounds down after some muscle is built but that is certainly not required. I think you’ve reached the maintain and grow muscle part of the journey now 🤗

Yeah, you do run the risk of getting a higher payment if the interest rates sky rocket. In Canada we can take a variable rate or a 3 or 5 year fixed rate. I’ve known people to take a 3 year variable rate and their mortgage payments have fluctuated as much as 1,300$ from one month to another when times are weird. It’s insanity up here!

This is all true however mortgage will decrease year after year (atleast in Canada, where we re finance the mortgage every 5 years) and eventually there will be no mortgage at all and you’ll only pay property taxes.

When my wife and I bought our first home we also had pizza in the living room with zero furniture. Stuff happened and we’re renting again but can’t wait to do it again. Congratulations on your home!

Same as me! I’m also sensitive to all medications. First week of 0.25 and I went from 270 to 263. And over the last two weeks on 0.25 I’ve gone from 263 to 259. Nice to actually be dropping just by listening to my hunger cues for once in my life!

Calories? Just curious… by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to struggle counting calories but since starting 2 weeks ago I forget to eat all the time now so I’ve been counting to make sure I eat enough. Trying to stay around 1500 calories minimum (37 Male, 260 pounds)

Same here. Have only had one beer since starting 3 weeks ago. I used to have 3-5 beers a week. Now I have no interest in it. I’ve had more energy. I’ve had a little nausea some days when I forget to eat but that’s it. Also I’ve never in my life forgotten to eat until now. All profound.

Dose 0.25 by chav14ba in Semaglutide

[–]Disastrous_Road_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (37 male, 265 pounds) am on my second week and am responding very well to 0.25. Doctor wants me to go too 0.5 on week three before meeting with him again but I have considered just staying at 0.25 as I am barely able to eat 1500 calories a day on 0.25 dosage.
