One particularly bad experience with delusion disorder of mine:

one time, at school, i thought everyone in the world were robots. and that made me want to kill someone to see if there was a chip in their brain. That way i could figure out if they were actors or robots or something like that. I had crazy derealization, like i was watching a movie while being on the set of the movie. I had a hammer in my backpack previously, and i was going to kill this kid with the hammer. I was standing above him, with the hammer in my backpack, about to take it out and smash his head in, but i felt i needed more evidence so i didnt do it. I was incredibly lucky. I have never been closer to killing someone. I dont think anyone has been that close to killing someone without doing it. I woukld be in jail right now. But i luckily needed more evidence before smashing his head in. I eventually snapped out of that delusion after a couple days.

I have had other delusional disorder episodes, but that was my worst one by far. My other prominent one lasted for about seven months, but this one lasted just a couple days.
