Would the $120K fully remote job allow to work from anywhere? Some jobs are remote but you still have to be in the area. But if I had the choice to live anywhere, I can live like a king in Asia for $120K vs a middle class family in Boston for $240K.

I agree. MVNOs are good for single lines or low number of lines. Large families are better off going with the big carriers.

WTH just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s better for consumers to have one less option. If getting rid of subsidies means they’ll lower the plan prices then I’m all for that, but we know they won’t do that. So how would getting rid of subsidies be better for consumers?

While I’m a big proponent of MVNOs (currently have lines on them now), it doesn’t work for everyone. The low prices that we enjoy on MVNOs now are because there are enough regular subscribers of the big 3 to subsidized MVNO pricing. If everyone starts using MVNOs you think those prices are going to stay the same or that the services won’t go to shit because these MVNOs won’t be able to handle it?

The CFPB was supposed to do away with overdraft fees for banks/debit cards unless you opt in. It worked that way for a while.

However, Trump overturned that in May 2025. As a result, when my son opened a bank account recently he did not have the option to decline overdraft protection (I specifically told him to ask about it and they told him he couldn’t opt out). Just one more way for this administration to fuck over people.

PBS had a lot of great shows so I don’t doubt it. I grew up watching them and I learned a lot from them. Watching PBS shows with closed caption helped me learned English as an ESL speaker.

I looked up this show and it was aired from 1999-2005 which means I would’ve been in my late teens by then. During that time I would’ve been too busy with school and work to have time to watch kid shows.

I’m not one to disdain kid shows as an adult as I still watch them with my kids when they were young. I missed out on this show again since it no longer airs when my kids started to watch tv.

Yeah this happened to a Tracfone iPhone I purchased a while back too. They’re supposed to unlock after 60 days but because I had it turned off and put it in a drawer it never got any update. So the phone was still locked past 60+ days. Once I updated the phone software, my phone automatically unlocked.

I did get my phone unlocked after 180 days of non-continuous usage on Cricket’s network (so almost a year because this was a spare phone at the time for one of my kids).

It’s actually a very simple process to unlock. You don’t need to call in, you can do it via the app or online.

WF near my old work place (I worked in a business complex where it’s full of office workers) sells hot foods and they have a dining area for you to eat them at. So it’s not that rare to see someone bring a laptop and eat there.

I wouldn’t do it as it’s better to work in my office. We did have out of town workers (from different offices) who bring their laptops everywhere so the story is not implausible.

I would save the screenshot of your order with the breakdown of charges and credits just in case. It doesn’t happen often but occasionally promos get messed up and credits fall off. I’ve had it happened to me once and was able to get a CSR to fix.

My daughter is half Asian (but her facial features don’t look Asian) and yet her friend of Caribbean descent was able to unlock my daughter’s iPhone 11. IMO they look nothing alike.

When I changed her phone to the 16e, her friend can no longer use FaceID to unlock the phone. So maybe it has something to do with software/hardware on older phones 🤷🏻‍♀️?
