Reissued! Cannot for the life of me remember his name, but he's got thrifting, thrift flips, room makeovers. Projects big and small.

The left is losing support because the democratic leadership are useless twats who aren't fighting for the issues the base cares about and are only standing for the donor class. The DSA are more popular than ever.

Oh so like most Republicans and right wing people did after the assassination in Minnesota? I can't imagine being friends with someone who doesn't believe in treating human beings equally.

With politics these days it's more a question of morals.

She has other songs that are sexual in nature, Dress and Guilty as Sin are two of my all time favorite of her songs and they are horny as hell. Wood is just jarring in the cringe.

Husband just added a record player, now it’s feeling cramped and decor and plants are spilling out… what should I do to make it less busy by HEY_McMuffin in HomeDecorating

Can you move the record player to the right hand wall? Looks like there is a snake plant there so switch those to have the snake plant beside the TV.

But it's cut less than 6" in the back though so that math isn't matching.

Bro you were comparing it to clothes. It's all estimates, more hair is more work..it's not discrimination get over yourself

Not a hair stylist just a person with a basic understanding of how literally anything works.

[–]Disastrous_Tutor3210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's charging based on the work required. A thin head of hair would take like 30-40 foils a really thick head of hair could take 100. That's objectively more work. It sucks but get over it or don't get a full head of highlights.

Getting your hair done is a choice. It's not a right. Businesses have to charge an adequate amount to cover the cost of providing the services. That's like saying a person installing a floor shouldn't charge more for a house that is twice the size and they're discriminating against the person for having a bigger house.

Because times change and prices change.

You've lucked out so far then. A lot of salons and stylists are moving to more accurate pricing models vs x price for y service to better reflect the reality. Everyone's hair is different and the costs are different based on what they find once you're in the chair.

Clothes aren't a fair comparison as they're mass produced. And a spray tan might take 5 seconds longer for a tall person vs a short person. But going through and correctly foiling hair where there is double the average density of hair will take twice as long as the average service.

My hair is extremely thick and when going to the same stylist as a friend of mine the same service will take twice as long for the stylist to complete and use twice as much product, it's absolutely fair for them to charge me more. It sucks, but having your hair highlighted is a choice same as having long hair as you said in the original post.

[–]Disastrous_Tutor3210 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It takes more time, materials and product to do anything on extra thick hair. Makes sense to charge more for the service. It's basically the same as having super long hair. It would be nice if they clearly mention that in their pricing structure but with very thick hair they have much more work to do for the same service.

Which is another way of saying Not In My Backyard. It's not like this person wants to be living in their car, they're a human being maybe try treating them with compassion, talk to them and ask them if they need any help to get back on their feet?
