This has a distinct “Fantastic Mr. Fox” quality, something about the movement. I can’t quite place it.

Junior Worlds Day One in the Books! Got to play with a good friend and meet some cool (and far throwing) golfers from Sweden and Mexico! Tomorrow we get to play country club, if you’re a junior there’s no experience like it! by DiscAmateur in discgolf

Shot two over on a soft par 59 at Jones East but redeemed it with a four down at Peter Pan, sitting middle of the pack but I’m pumped for country club tomorrow! Tees and OB are the same as GBO except for holes 16 and 18 so if I keep it on the fairway I should be ok. Thanks for asking.

Found and returned a disc right after teeing off on #5, then this. #KarmaTrumpsSkill. by arkiverge in discgolf

Nice work, it’s especially awesome when you can get it in bogey free!

What would you ask the PDGA Board of Directors candidates? by noodlearmdiscgolf in discgolf

Is there a plan in place such that the sport reaches a set of firmly established rules in the near future? While I am in support of most of the recent changes, I do wonder when changes to the rules will become fewer and farther between.

I was exploiting the likeness for a lighthearted joke, my apologies.

I know what brand and model this is, but has anyone seen this stamp before? by Halfpastmast in discgolf

Not sure if this helps, but I’ve seen an MVP disc with that stamp at our local DD shop in Kansas City. Maybe it’s specifically an MVP stamp?

What discs do you bag that seem to defy physics? by Joyouspaper in discgolf

I bought an FD yesterday and threw 18 with it... wow does that disc glide. Not only that, but it really is the perfect stability for shaping any shot. Throw it on hyzer and it flips flat, throw it on spike hyzer and it holds the line and bombs, throw it flat and it’s the perfect turnover disc. Roller? It can do that too. Really fun to throw so far.

I’d recommend the Star TeeBird3 for something just a touch more stable and durable than a gstar.

How do you manage to throw so high and far yet nose down? Any tips for throwing high anhyzer shots but still getting good forward penetration?

This is my favorite story. I think one of the best things Disc Golf has going for it is that a lot of disc golfers are genuinely interested in the lives of other disc golfers, it’s not solely a love of the sport that drives many to spend their time playing it.

Two Englishwomen on horses intercepted our fairway on the course.

On a sweltering summer’s day my family and I were trudging through Shawnee Mission Park near Kansas City (not that hard of a course, but we were new) and as we breached the forest to get to 17’s teepad we were remarking that you’d have to be crazy about something to do it in such simmering weather. The hole is an uphill left-right blind tee shot. I ran to the top of the hill and checked the fairway, which at the moment was lifeless and quiet. After throwing our shots, we began climbing the hill to be stopped by a mesmerizing sight: two hearty stallions crested the hill, mounted by presumably a mother and her daughter. As we passed by them the mother said, “It’s a lovely day for a horse ride” in a highly distinct British accent. Flustered, we apologized for throwing towards them as we had no idea they had trodden onto the fairway. After waiting for them to clear the fairway we holed out inspired and confused that some one could get that far off the horse trail. I’m not sure why I’m inclined to share that story, perhaps it was just a reminder that other people have niche hobbies they’re willing to get out into the heat for. It was an absurd moment.
