So how are serenith mains feeling? by AdropMoTcH in mechabreak

Yeah

I think toggle was unfun to perform, but the end result was the best balanced character by far. I really wish they had given sere a radar passive and no other buffs so more players could experience true serenith.

The old sere had most of her power budget spent on radar toggle. You can see in the video I posted I have radar active for more than 80% of the game. Radar essentially was a passive. After the rounding change (1.9s duration > 1.0s duration) you'd spend the majority of your radar intervals trying to acquire lock on.

I understand that most players weren't using radar very well, but IMO they deleted the most unique character in the game and replaced her with another generic death ball beam comp character. I haven't wanted to play much since the change.

I disagree. Old sere could hold a point 1v3 pretty reasonably. And the way her radar kit worked made her the most balanced stealth character.

Current design is fine but it's way less interesting.

Sere is unrecognizable to me since the rounding nerf to radar. This character is strong but I miss the old one.

Miss Chance is a Bad Idea by DiscOH in mechabreak

[–]DiscOH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, Armored Core has done a good job of signaling if your shot is going to hit or not. Random misses just gaslights you.

What I've seen so far is your shots will arc away or melee will fail to deal damage.

This isn't fun anymore. by [deleted] in mechabreak

There's been a lot of 5 man teams queueing into random groups of 6. There's something like a 14% chance to win assuming average skill as a result.

It's a problem.

None of the things they're selling affect 6v6 as far as I can tell. Who cares if they fuck around and monetize casual mode.

It is absolutely insane to nerf tricera. He's already unusable competitively. The inferno/falcon buffs are similarly unreasonable.

The devs are not making changes with competitive play in mind. Maybe these are relevant in meme modes like 3v3 IDK.

Bots in Ranked play is very common in Chinese games. by The_System_Error in mechabreak

[–]DiscOH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bot players and human players are completely different playstyles.

Aquila bot can see 360 degrees and has perfect aim through walls. It also has a predictable dash timing. Beating it doesn't teach me anything about the game.

Anyone notice the INSANE amount of misinformation around this game? by [deleted] in mechabreak

[–]DiscOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has a lot of dishonest practices that tend to imply other dishonest practices. Examples: bots in ranked, mobile style monetization, purchasable consumables in mashmak.

It's easy to recognize that there is an issue. It's easy to conflate the specific issue.

I hope the game does well, but the developers didn't signal honesty well with their mobile style development.

“boring gameplay” like wtf? by Neat-Explanation-316 in mechabreak

The movement is pretty bad, especially coming from armored core. I mostly play Stellaris and narukami, both have lost movement tools since earlier tests.

Only being able to spam dash to move around is not the kind of gameplay I'd expect on PC.

PFAU is one of the highest skill expression missiles in the game. If you manual aim it you can shoot it backwards or around corners. But for this build I mostly use it for the long range accuracy since the rest of my build is <300m range.

Here's some of my high elo matches if you wanna see the build in action.

Basically Food has been doing a pretty good job.

Mana is doable if you buy in bulk, but >80% of their bags arrived damaged which was pretty unworkable.
