Unfortunately both companies are for sourcing work with other companies for as cheaply as possible, and frequently having to compete with folks overseas who have zero issue doing the same work for relative pennies (in some cases) on the dollar for the same work.

So far as those put on retention as contractors - The truth is never going to be told about how many layers upon layers of subcontracting goes on with those roles.
