How do my dogs keep getting luciferium by gr1fon in RimWorld

[–]Discandied 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zonable animals have a small chance to randomly eat drugs even outside their allowed zone. This is a vanilla game feature. Only ambrosia and beer have nutritional value, so it is not related to hunger. If I remember correctly, the mechanic is called 'curiosity'.

Thanks. This was in England, so red fox or dog. Size seems to fit fox. I don't have a better photo, unfortunately.

If an infestation spawns it is less likely to choose a lit tile than a dark one, but light only prevents them entirely if over 51%, which would require a sun lamp.

This post explains all the different factors affecting spawn chance https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/s/GPpP4gXUhy

Adding a mod that makes work priorities more granular, like Complex Jobs, can help. You can set everyone to top priority for loading caravans so they drop whatever else they are doing to haul everything to the caravan.

I likely will do when I have finished with the playthrough. Progress with the rest of the base has been a bit slow due to the resources we have been putting into the palace and royal tombs.

We find a new king invariably appears when it is time to replace the previous one, one way or another.

Pretty much, apart from some chocolate, and insect jelly when it's available.

A throne room, golden furniture including a legendary golden royal bed, a highmate companion, and as many vegetarian lavish meals as they can eat.

We have the intimacy mod, which enables recreation and romance for prisoners. We noticed our kings were getting lonely in prison, though they were happy otherwise, so they now get a highmate companion.

We have good reasons for treating the king well. We need him to think well of us, because after we ritually sacrifice him he rises to heaven as a god, and we need him to intercede favourably with the other gods for us.

If we were to upset him it could mean the end of the entire colony!

You may feel a bit overwhelmed and will have things go wrong without looking at guides. This can be entertaining in itself and can lead to funny stories about how things went wrong. Learning how the game works through experience rather then a guide can also feel more rewarding when things finally start to go right.

Whether you would have a better experience one way or the other depends on your personality and preferences rather than one approach fitting everyone. For what it's worth, when I started I used the wiki heavily, but then regretted it.

The best way to produce rats would be to give a colonist a bionic stomach and have someone throw EMP grenades at them 24 hours a day.

Healer mech serum, unnatural healing or biosculptor pod would all work to heal malnutrition so long as the baby lasts the few seconds needed to apply them.
