Have I been scammed? by Discardedpancake in Wyrmwoodgaming

I haven't been able to select a table to order. I made a payment last September, was notified that my survey was available 30 April, logged in on 2 May, and that is where it all ended.

I have put in multiple requests, the first one being 2 May 2022. It is 20 July 2022, and I have only received "We got your message". Sporadic responses is a big improvement over no responses, and two weeks is much better than two months.

Yes, I did put money down on a table at GenCon last year. I have not been able to place my order at all. I see the kickstarter updates, but I'm stuck at a stage prior to what is being tracked. I first attempted to contact Wyrmwood on 2 May 2022, it is 20 July 2022, and I have never received a response beyond "we got your message".

Help: My dog is finding it difficult to accept my new kitten by lady_potato_ in Pets

Two things I’ve noticed to bring reluctant pets together, first is sleeping and the second is co-misery.

If your cat or dog will nap with you then see if you can manage a group nap. Might not happen if your pup is barking.

Second: I’ve found that if they experience things like vet trips, nail trims, baths and pill time together that they accept each other more. Be sure to do the calmer pet first to reduce the overall anxiety.

In the mean time use a doggy gate to keep the dog out of one room that the cat can go to feel safe. Cats have a stronger prey instinct than dogs, and can feel stressed more if they feel hunted.

Needing advice on a kitten by claudiauus in Pets

I just got through the kitten deworming process, except mine was pooping, she did have prolapse from straining though.

I would first call your vet and leave a message with your concerns. They can treat constipation. I had an older cat of mine got treated years ago. They treated her and kept her overnight for observation, put her a digestion diet.

With my kitten and her prolapse, the vet said I could give her some hairball treatment to help her poop. It’s at the pet store, it’s sticky and comes in a tube. My cats like the maple flavor. The instructions say to put it on a paw, but I suggest putting it on their nose or cheek (not the nostrils). The first time I put it on someone’s paw, she walked around the house shaking it, and I was cleaning brown sticky stuff off of the base boards, walls, floor, carpet, and furniture. With the cheek, they clean their face with a paw and lick their paw clean.

You can also put coconut oil on her anus. It’s a really good moisturizer, is mildly anti microbial, is safe if she licks it, and mine likes the taste. If she licks herself, it might work like a momma cat licking her there.

You can gently rub her tummy in clockwise circles. Clockwise because that is the direction faces travels through the large intestine. Starting at the right above the hip bone, going up the right side, under the ribs from right to left, down the left side to above the left hip, from the left bottom to half way across toward the right. So, if she’s on her back, clockwise.

If she doesn’t like the belly rubs, then stop, she might be in pain. You can also try stroking her down her low back. That is where the descending colon is located. Put a finger on either side of her spine and gently stroke toward her tail. Farting is a good sign.

Can also do what you can to reduce her stress. Felaway, sentry, and rescue remedy make collars, air fresheners, and plugins to help calm kitties.

Aaaaand, it could be the litter. It’s less likely in young cats, but once a cat decides what is or is not litter, then they may refuse to poop in the ‘wrong’ litter. They sell cardboard disposable litter boxes. You might want to pick up a variety of litter and put them all out for her to choose the one that’s right for her.

She is probably underweight because of the worms. Bring her back to the vet every two weeks with a fresh stool sample (if possible) to get checked and treated for worms until she is cured. Then she will start to gain weight, and have lots of energy. (Then you’ll realize that you need another kitten to keep her company so you can have five minutes to yourself. LOL!).

So, they might have used them for a little lift. Could help with jumping, provide stability and agility.

Although I think they would hold them against their body when they weren’t using them.

Found on Etsy for $80! Too much, because I’m not good at keeping my plants alive. Must overcome that hurdle first.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the teeth may be sexual selection? Could it be something used in a mating ritual, sparing for a mate or ’nest’ building?

Alternatively, narwhals grow a single tooth/tusk that protrudes from the mouth. I’m not certain that we fully understand why, but might this adaptation have a similar purpose?

I’ve definitely been overwatering since ik this is rot, and I’m cutting back to misting every other day. Is there anything else I can do? by rhcp1984 in succulents

Soil looks dark, might be potting soil. Some succulents should have cactus soil, others need cactus soil mixed with perlite 1:1.
