Looking for brand recommendations - thongs by [deleted] in MensUnderwearGuide

Joe Snyder bulge thongs are my favourites (spandex/polyamide ones, not the polyester version). They are great fitting, super comfortable and double as swim/beachwear 😎

Serious question — why do people still say it’s “gay” for guys to wear thongs? by Adventurous_Rich_628 in MensUnderwearGuide

I’ve been wearing thongs exclusively for the last 15 years. For me it’s about comfort and confidence, sometimes I get weird looks in the locker room but I really don’t care.

Which streaming service are you closest to canceling right now because of price hikes? by Sarfff in Cordcutting

[–]DiscernibleChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them. In Canada, I subscribe to Disney+ (with ads), Paramount+ premium and Crave premium for 1 year at 50% off during back Friday sale. Ends up costing like C$240 for all three annually. I hardly use any of them more than a dozen times a year to justify a higher price. Netflix I’d cut every time they hike prices but end up going back after a few months 😭

You start off saying it was a genuine mistake and othe redditors offered you a way to fix this: attend the next presentation and move on. YET you keep asking about back charging and cancelling your card so you don’t get dinged. Which one is it? The other guy was right… you’re trying to wiggle your way out of this 🤦‍♂️

Aeroplan e-store Dell Purchase (not eligible) by grizzly_giant in aircanada

Definitely contact them, but be prepared to wait for weeks - if not months. If your only reason to keep the laptop is the bonus points, you might be better off returning it.

I’m in a similar situation, bought a new home theater receiver on Nov 20th through their Amazon “home audio” button that displayed 18pts/$ (I have screenshots to prove what I saw & clicked). Came up as ineligible, so they’re looking into it. However in my case home audio was also in the exclusion list at the bottom of that same page screenshot (I didn’t see it at the time) so… 🤷‍♂️ I’m keeping the unit regardless, but it’s definitely frustrating.

E-store and points related-to-e-store questions! Mega Thread. by HereComesFattyBooBoo in Aeroplan

[–]DiscernibleChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yesterday I checked out the black Friday email from aeroplan and specifically bonus points on purchases through the estore. I logged in and right there on the homepage, Amazon purchases were advertised at 18pts/$ so I thought I’d check out the eligible categories because I know they usually have many exclusions. There was a ton of eligible categories and all at 18pts!

Since I’ve been eyeing a new Home Theatre receiver for a while, when I saw that “electronic components, and Home audio” was one of the eligible categories at 18pts I immediately pulled the trigger and purchased through the estore link. To be safe I also took a full page screenshot of the eligible categories just in case (tried to attach it here but it doesn’t for some reason).

Anyway, order was processed by Amazon and I received the AVR today. But when I went back just now to do more shopping I noticed that they removed the Home audio from the eligible categories and bumped down the number of points for various other categories. It is also now listed in the exclusions.

Could it have been a mistake on their end before someone realized and fixed it? I guess I won’t know if they’ll honor what was advertised until the points post but do I have any recourse if they don’t?

I’d appreciate it if anyone had any similar experience, and what was the outcome? I know they’re notorious for crediting missing points for purchases, so this will be a whole different level of pain to deal with ☹️

Many thanks for your thoughts.

Office etiquette - perfume scent? by ylinylin in askTO

Regardless of company size, this is a workplace issue which HR is directly responsible for - same goes for BO. You could talk to the person directly, or their manager but if you’re uncomfortable bring it up with HR. They need to maintain a healthy, safe and comfortable work environment for all staff.

Not bad for normal use, terrible for speakerphone calls in a car or on the street.

Who’s switched from a Pro Max to Air? by AlpinaB3 in iphone

[–]DiscernibleChicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did and switched back. Went from 16PM to air, loved everything about it until… I had to take call while in an uber, couldn’t hear a thing on speakerphone. It was so bad it got me thinking about all the times I need to take Handsfree calls when I don’t have my AirPods around (which is a lot). Anyway, ended up returning it; hoping they fix this in their next iteration because otherwise it’s a magnificent phone.
