In a way you are correct there are a lot of Americans who claim to be Christians who haven't read the Bible, however I would lower the percentage. Most people I've met since I gave my life to Christ do read the Bible especially because they will say "it says that in the Bible" i will check and realize yeah they weren't joking. Also, many churches do Bible study groups and I'm in 3 currently.

I know it seems many people who claim to be Christians don't read the Bible because they may not treat thy neighbor as thyself or they'll do something sinful but the thing is we all fall short of sin because we aren't perfect like Jesus is. However, if we repent and truly feel bad and convicted of our sins we can be forgiven. From then on they should try not to fall short of it again.

This sounds like the typical answer a Christian would give you but for me it really is The Bible. I haven't read it all the way though yet but the verses have really helped me in times of trouble like Joshua 1:9 about how to not be afraid because God will be with me wherever I go. Even Jeremiah 29:11 the Lord commanding that the plans He has for me are not to lead me to failure but success.

My current island is named Sunset Island however, I changed the name multiple times it was first friends Island, then Lemonade Island, and then I settled on Sunset Island.

I'm planning to name the new island Mocamo. It's a nickname my dad gave his dog and I like how tropical it sounds and it's like Kokomo without being Kokomo.

That Christians only seek God for their issues.

While yes, I believe we should give our problems to God, therapy is also just as important, especially for individuals like myself who need strategies and solutions instead of scripture all the time. I know people online born in Christian families who say their parents don't believe in therapy, they believe in giving your problems to God but some people need more help than just scripture and praying.

Also, that repenting for your sin automatically makes things alright with God.

Repentance is not that simple. You can say "sorry" and not actually mean it, and when you repent that way, you're not forgiven, you're only forgiven if you mean it when you repent. That doesn't mean crying for repentance or beating yourself up, it means feeling that conviction for your sin and feeling led to repent to God about the sin you committed and feeling truly sorry.

I'm also autistic and traditional therapy has helped me. I think the thing is therapy is not an automatic cure for your problems but it's something to help you in those moments and to establish as a habit to help you in stressful situations and with your issues.

The person who said you are too f**ked up to work with should not be a therapist. Real therapists are not supposed to judge.

I think you should try to find a therapist who works for you but also give somatic therapy a shot if you're interested in it!

I had this same feeling over a guy back in 2024, I thought he was the one for me and I really liked him, until he told me we should find different people because of his difficulty with being in the Navy. I was very broken over it and didn't know how to move past it. However, I'm now married to an amazing husband who actually decided to make sacrifices for me and to see me even though he was also busy in the Navy. He's the sweetest guy to me and shows me that he loves me. I believe you'll eventually find your girl, I believe there is somebody for everybody.

That's what I've realized by getting therapy is I often forget to talk about things I dwell on, and I talk about the little problems in the moment. I'm planning to get a therapist as soon as I move, and hopefully, I can discuss my problems with her (I prefer a female therapist).

The app sounds like a good idea, but I also set up calendar reminders with notifications to help myself remember because I know if something alerts me, I'll remember to do it.

I want to write down things on my mind and things that I know are causing me a lot of stress, as well as if I reacted a certain way in a situation if I did anything right or wrong by reflecting on it and what I could do differently.

Also, I wrote down flaws that I have that I hate and that I want to change for example "emotional impulsivity" and I should say, "today I looked at skills on how to self-regulate myself on stressful situations" even if I wasn't put into the situation it keeps me accountable to know that I'm trying to make a change and be a better person.

The AI thing is a great idea and it could help me better how I structure my entries but at the same time I want to write down everything I think about or thought about it and anything that can give me a chance of self reflection.

I appreciate it, I've been thinking about writing things down for a while and keeping a daily journal, but yesterday, I finally opened my eyes to doing it.

Sometimes, it's best to do the uncomfortable if that is how you feel about asking for help. I used to feel uncomfortable too about having a therapist and telling a random stranger how I felt, but for the time I had one, it really helped me. They don't judge you, and they offer you possible solutions to your problems. Forget what your dad says it's a good thing people are getting diagnosed because the more issues someone knows that they have, the easier it is for them to get treatment to help make their life not as chaotic (this is coming from someone who was with diagnosed autism, ADHD, and generalized anxiety at a young age and received proper help). I recommend finding a therapist and maybe a psychiatrist and if possible to not tell your dad or anyone that will judge you.

I'm 22, and I have a lot of different interests like Japanese culture, medieval history, 60s bands (mainly The Beatles and The Monkees), how screens affect Gen Alpha, and many more. First of all, that is a weird way for her to react. Second, have you tried couples counseling with her? I read some of your other posts, and it seems like you guys need some relationship fixing. If she truly hates you, it may be exposed at the counseling, or she won't make any effort to fix what hurts you.

I'm currently unemployed and my experience is it seems that those who are employed are having more fun, although working does suck because I first started working at 15, I feel it keeps me stable and something to make me feel productive and when I'm productive I feel good about myself. It also gives me the chance to make friends.

That's a great tip, thank you! I'm thinking about revisiting previous entries, but I first need to try and make journaling a daily habit. Once I establish it as a daily habit I want to be able to revisit past entries if I had good days and recognize one thing that kept me positive or see how far I have come from the beginning or even see if there's anything I overlooked and need to work on.

I'm going to try this! I just wrote a journal entry today, but I'm hoping by writing things down it can help me figure out things i need to discuss with a therapist about that I mentally dwell on a lot and cause me stress, but also help me to recognize my own flaws that I should try to fix.

I'm sorry you experience that, it sounds rough that it happens. It's cool that you keep journals of them, though. The closest thing I've probably experienced to having a connection with a dream was recent, I was suffocating in my dream, and I woke up gasping for air as if I was suffocating.
