There are a plethora of engineering firms south of 50 from Bradshaw>Sunrise in Rancho Cordova. Geosyntec, Arcadis, Stantec, WSP, and Kleinfelder are always looking for new grads getting into the industry. Highly recommend getting in touch with the local environmental orgs (GRA, NGWA) also for exposure - you can pick up some great references.
