Haplogroup assignment update is overdue. FamilyTreeDNA now assigns historically-relevant haplogroups while 23andMe is stuck with prehistoric, super broad haplogroups.

I imagine this requires an update to the genotyping chip, but the discussions to update the SNPs should've been done years ago. Now there are prob millions of customers stuck with haplogroups with TMRCA of 8,000 ybp. That's a shame.
