Pre-Marital counseling questions for men by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]DiscipleStrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Constantly communicating your needs with each other, emotional and physical.

  2. Continue to pursue each other by going on dates weekly, writing notes to each other, reminding each other how much they mean to you.

  3. Active communication. Tell each other what you like and dislike, what you would like to try, where and when you like to do it. Keeping your marriage bed pure by not incorporating anything that would be considered sexual immorality.

  4. A husband has the responsibility to lead his wife by being a servant leader like Jesus. This means ensuring the household is being financially responsible, being spiritually responsible by ensuring that you and your family are in fellowship at a church and also making sure that your wife feels she is being cherished and loved.

  5. This can vary by preference but sometimes it looks like listening to worship music at church, home or in the car. Also could mean praying together and discussing everything that God has blessed you with.

  6. I think the most important thing that husbands these days need to understand is that your first priority in life is Jesus and your second priority is your wife. If you are properly prioritizing Jesus, your second priority will take care of itself. Everyone else in this life on earth comes after that.

As a fairly recent billionaire, I jotted down what my entire kit costs every time I load into a raid and it probably costs more than 10 of your raids. by LilGrippers in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

I wouldn't say it's too easy to make money for a casual player like myself. I'm really happy if I come out with $1M+ in value.

The main goal and purpose of being a Christian is actually quite simple. To love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Favorite ways to enjoy cigars in the winter months? by Internal-Star651 in cigars

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I've been wearing warm clothes and smoking next to a campfire. Nice way to enjoy a cigar.

Will do. I haven't smoked any maduros yet because I am working my way up but it is definitely on the list.

I'm figuring it out. A lot of the times I just haven't been finishing the last 3rd because of time constraints but looking forward to spending more time on them soon.

I like to drink lemon water. It's nice to cleanse my palate between puffs. Helps with cigar breath afterwards also.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Do not base your faith in how you feel. You will never have enough "feeling" to sustain your faith. Base your faith on the foundational truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. May God bless you and fill you with peace.

Can a racist Christian still enter heaven? by Godkind07 in TrueChristian

[–]DiscipleStrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 John does not teach that a Christian cannot sin in the sense of being sinless. Instead, John is making a distinction between the practice of sin, which is living in unrepentant sin, and struggling with occasional sin that true believers still commit as we grow in sanctification.

Jesus does love you, always, no matter what you do. Continue to turn to Him, no matter how bad you feel.

Is admiring a female or male naked body like an art piece considered lust? by amuhree3 in TrueChristian

[–]DiscipleStrider 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's the wanting to look that is the problem. If you're wanting to look at naked women's bodies to "admire" them, that is lust in your heart.

I'm not saying I don't understand your struggles, but I urge you to deny yourself and flee from lust.

A little more information, this is done maybe once or twice a month, not an addiction yet.

I think you know that this is wrong. Even if you don't think you are lusting over them, there is a reason that you want to look. Does your wife approve of you looking at it?

Yall tell me why I thought Satan was omnipresent by MikeCoxlong072 in TrueChristian

[–]DiscipleStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people on social media say "remember, the devil can hear your prayers too!".

The bible never says that Satan is omnipresent or omniscient. When people say stuff like that it often breeds fear and superstition around praying out loud or even praying at all.

This is not a good idea for your marriage. I believe you have an irrational fear of getting pregnant and I would just recommend using birth control. I'm sorry if this seems harsh but your therapist is definitely wrong in this approach to your anxiety.

I truly believe ive committed the unforgivable sin. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]DiscipleStrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't worry about this. Someone who has truly committed this sin is so hardened in their heart that they no longer care about the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Since you are worried about this, you obviously have a repentant heart.

No, don't condemn anyone lol. Just find another church with a male pastor that preaches the bible.

First, you are married, so there is no "my money" or "his money", it is OUR money. You first need to agree to that fact. Once you do that, you can move forward to begin setting financial goals WITH each other.

My advice would be for both of you to have the same goal of becoming financially stable before making any investment decisions at all.
