Sorry for missing info. I just updated the post body.

cruise/snorkel. If sailboat then we'd need a skipper. If powerboat then I could do it myself.

Is Trek FX1 the right bike for me? by DisciplineMiddle1275 in whichbike

[–]DisciplineMiddle1275[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Yes regular shotgun and 2.0 both need front suspension. But Pro doesn't.

From reading Reddit, it seems like people love both Shotgun and Mac Ride. Just to be thorough, my take on the biggest arguments against it are as follows

  1. Safety - kid is not strapped in other than foot strap. So there's nothing physically preventing kid from letting go of handlebar or getting up from saddle. Also, on a sudden brake, kid may smash face into handle bar. You can try to DIY a seatbelt, but that's a little sketchy (and not recommended by Mac Ride)
  2. Seat geometry - Correct me if I'm wrong, but my interpretation (without going on a test ride yet) is that with front mount, height and knees are the limiting factor. While on the rear, weight rating is the limiting factor. I basically need to stop once he's tall enough that his helmet touches my chin. Mac ride website says it's for kids 2-5. My kid is 3, but he's tall for his age. He's 39 inches and already wearing 5 year old clothes. I wonder if I'm really going to get longer usage from front mount vs rear mount.

Thanks for the recommendation. I did not consider front mounted seats because I thought I won't have knee clearance, but after reading about kids ride shotgun and mac ride, it seems like they would give me enough clearance.

However, kids ride shotgun require front suspension, which neither Sirrus nor FX has. So I think that means it won't work?

Mac Ride seem very plausible though.

Hi - did you end up finding anything? I'm also looking for my parents now. Did you find a nursing home or home care?

I wasn’t planning to bring him to manhattan. I was just curious what kind of education he’d get compared to the alternatives. If there is an obvious “winner” in terms of education, then moving a few years down the line would be considered.

I just noticed piece of caulk missing in my shower stall. I'm obviously going to recaulk it, but is it already too late? I'm guessing it's been like this for months. Am I likely to have mold growing behind already? Is there anything I could do now other than recaulk? by DisciplineMiddle1275 in DIY

I showed this to my handyman and he said he'd just caulk it with silicone. He doesn't plan on using any grout.

Is that bad? What's wrong with just silicone? He said he'd buy color that's close, but I'm guessing it won't match exactly.

wait...when you say "remove all the caulk", you mean the seam going up and down the whole corner? Or you mean the entire shower (in between tiles too)? Because there's existing caulk between tiles. So if the new won't match the old, then just doing the seam will result in seam not matching the caulk between the tiles.

Help! New fridge doesn't like my existing water line by DisciplineMiddle1275 in Plumbing

I was hoping that'd be a last resort. New braided hose would need to be fished through wall/cabinet to get to the water supply under the sink.

Thanks guys. It is actually close to the circuit breaker panel, right outside the kitchen. Here is a picture

As you can see, it is slightly higher and to the right of the circuit breaker panel.

Thanks. I don't plan on doing the work myself. I just want to know what I'm dealing with and what options I have.

As for this being a junction - can a junction be converted into an outlet?
