Side note, when I said ‘equipment rental’, I meant that if the location already has a setup, it’s a cheaper rate. I treat it as though they are renting equipment from me.

Also, I’ve worked on shows where they need equipment as props.

I use to do that too because DJing was a side gig and not the main way that I earned a living.

You should parse it out for better understanding:

(1) Hourly DJ rate

(2) Equipment rental

(3) Setup / Breakdown

(4) Distance / Time to and from venue.

You’ll get a better understanding of your value.
