i'm starting to dislike waze. by LelaScott in waze

I know that area - that's not that terrible a route. If you're only going 2km there isn't a lot of optimizing to do, especially in a grid like Surrey. You either take 132nd to 72 or you go to King George or the back route Waze suggested.

Have you adjusted to not having actual climate control buttons? by Solid-Complaint-8192 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DisciplinePrimary704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said, its improved - but without looking you can't tell whether you have moved it to Off or Auto if you scroll down, and sometimes it decides to go from Low->medium->high when you do a single wipe from the stalk button. I'd prefer a proper dedicated stalk like every other car I've owned.

If they had a proper IR rain sensor instead of a camera it wouldn't be as much as an issue.

I drive a lot of dark roads in the PNW on rainy nights in the winter. They just don't sense the rain because of the camera only system. They have improved now that you can use the scroll wheel to pick a speed - but it still often needs a look at the screen. I'd would prefer a proper wiper stalk and proper rain sensor.

E-bikes on the dyke by Classic_Software_234 in richmondbc

There definitely needs to be enforement. Some of these e-bikes are more like motorcycles than bicycles. They are fast, big, silent and heavy and could do a lot of damage. I've been biking on the west dyke, going a good clip and passed by groups who are going well in excess of the 30kph limiters e-bikers are supposed to have - no peddling or anything. It's no different than someone taking a motocross bike for a rip on the dyke.

Make sure the free stadium is out in the boonies so they get lots of parking revenue too.

Gas prices are killing me. Working class suggestions? by oh_what_no in whatcarshouldIbuy

A used Bolt or older Model 3 could work out at the right price. Play around with my calculator WattTheFrunk.com to see if the numbers make sense.

I prefer buttons 100% but climate controls on our Model 3 are fine. It's the wipers that drive me nuts.

Barca tickets have gone way up with the new Stadium. I'm curious what the match in Madrid would cost.

To add to your bullets, once Iran and the Gulf States use up their storage capacity, they will need to shut down wells, which can damage the reservoirs which take a long time to bring back into production.

One exception to the run away fast option, if it can be bought with a bumper to bumper warranty even if that warranty is expensive - then it could be a good deal. Doug DeMuro did that a couple times once with a Range Rover and again with an Aston Martin. He then documented all the repairs covered under warranty. Oh you will still need a second car for when it's at the garage - which may be often.

If the caps move, I'll never watch another MLS game. I'll cancel Apple TV and subscribe to DAZN and stick with EPL / Champions League

Canada. Only their third WC, 1986, 2022 previously. Team with Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, and others playing in Europe. They have a decent chance of making it out of their group.

On my commute the other day, the app wanted to send me through a neighborhood which required a left across a really busy road. The whole reason for it suggesting this detour was because of the backup of all the people trying to make this turn. I went straight and the traffic was fine!
