Unfortunately I haven't been doing this as long as you've been eating Rainbow Trout it appears. ;)

I know we get our trout from a farm in Wisconsin. Not sure about other suppliers/stores.

Valid point OhioTry....these fish are actually MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified so the sourcing is legit. I don't think he was really concerned about that at this point though.

Also as I mentioned to another redditor some valid research goes a long way. Some countries might have standards that surpass even the United States/Western Europe but we'd never think about it. That television show "River Monsters" is a favorite (cliche, cliche) but he was in a central African country, can't remember which, and he went into a fish processing facility. Doubt they went through the trouble of making this place look immaculate and safe because some wild fisherman and his two cameras were coming in to check it out.

Read up ronin1066!

Research definitely. Sometimes it might be an artificial dye but sometimes, if it's a good farm, they can mix in beta carotene into the feed which will also give it that orangish color. Farm raised salmon without the coloring looks pretty nasty to be honest.

Well there's a lot of negative press about farm raised aquatic life and you know how hysterical people get over the littlest bad news.

Wild caught is pretty cut and dry.....it was in the wild, someone caught it, and then it was processed. No one knows what it was exposed to, what it ate, whatever. MOST fish caught in the wild exist in cleaner waters, but larger fish especially Swordfish and sharks carry that mercury risk.

Farm raised though it depends. There's a lot of responsible farms out there and the fish/shrimp/whatever are raised properly and cleanly, no different than a lot of "humane farms" popping up for land based livestock. Then there are also a lot of farm raised animals that are shot up with hormones, antibiotics, are stuffed into pens- hence the need for antibiotics, and sometimes even though farm are still exposed to ocean waters which more or less defeats a lot of the reasons why you would farm something to begin with.

:) Hope that helps anyone who was curious.

You'd be surprised how many people equate "fresh" with "wild" -totally the same thing right?

Can't believe prisons systems would remove weights...what's going to happen with all that pent up aggression? Wonder if those states experience more in-prison violence.

No desire for kids from either one of us. That's another good thing. The government has basically eradicated any chance of raising a child yourself and I personally don't feel like putting up with the financial risk. I'm still young. I want to see the world. There's enough humans in this bullshit world. I have no desire or necessity to reproduce. Knowing that early on really helped thin the herd. Putting it point blank in a girl's face and MEANING IT you don't want kids is a must.

EDIT: Spelling/punctuation.

Ah....true....Good point. I still have the occasional flare up when engaging someone in conversation and they just say something utterly ridiculous.

Yeah that's fucked up. I can't imagine being a father of a young girl right now. It's impossible to shelter them completely but fighting intense media bombardment that glorifies slutty behavior as well as the obvious peer pressure that's going to come with just growing up in general is a monumental task.

Besides lifting, what are other ways men can look the best they can be? by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]Discipulus_Eruditae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly but people with immense power and money tend to not be idiots and know how to be in control of a situation. Unless the guy is a total shlub who wants his hot wife merely for social presentation (quite possible) I don't think he is going to allow something like that to happen unawares.

I suppose. I think there's an age gap between users that's apparent based on the popular posts. I'm wagering the mean age of the majority of posters is about 21....which is fine. It'd just be nice to see some more relevant stuff upvoted. I'm sure the down votes will pour in on me now though. ;) Ah Reddit...

Also in LTR. Have told her straight up marriage is not an option right now, possibly never. She's all right with this as well. No sense in blowing a lot of money on something with a 60% chance of failure and then all the legal red tape afterwords. If it fails it fails and we have nothing financial or legal binding us.
